WAY TO GO, AGENCY SERVICE!Regional Director Gary Owen recently received an email from UA Agent G.G. Trautmann:

“A woman named Beverly Haller helped me with all of this information. She was absolutely wonderful and extremely kind and helpful. I was completely unaware of the capabilities that UA’s website had to offer, and she walked me through the reports. Thank you very much!”

If you’ve ever spoken with Agency Service, you know Beverly and her team go above and beyond to help Agents, whether getting specific information for them or showing them how and where they can find it themselves on UAOnline. The Agency Service team is one of United American’s best training tools!

WORDS OF WISDOM

“I believe in the dignity of labor, whether with head or hand; that the world owes no man a living but that it owes every man an opportunity to make a living.”

~ John D. Rockefeller2 September 2014 Aim for LIFE

Opportunity Keeps Coming ...Believe it or not, it’s almost the fourth quarter. Where has the time gone? This has been a busy year — multiple live seminars, new training webinars, e-App certification webinars, implementation of the Automated Agent Appointment System, redesigned recruiting website, incentive programs, etc.

Help Seniors love life too!Now we are thrilled to have United American’s new Whole Life for Final Expenses product already approved in many states. Since its issue age starts at 50, it’s a tremendous product to offer your Senior and soon-to-be Senior customers. This is the optimum time to introduce this product, since September is Life Insurance Awareness Month. See the center spread for additional details on the Whole Life for Final Expenses product. Of course, we still offer term life products with UA’s Fundamental Life Series. Help your customers decide what works best for them, their lifestyle, and their financial situation. Don’t let them be part of the uninsured statistics in this country.

Is an Amazon gift card in your future? The Third Quarter Incentive is just about over, but we achieved our objectives — raising awareness about the tremendous need for Cancer and Critical Illness insurance and rewarding you for quality production.

I hope you are one of the recipients of the $500 Amazon gift cards. That could be a big help with your holiday shopping … or that 55-inch TV you’re considering.

The AEP is coming!Of course, October 15 is when you really turn up the volume on Medicare Supplement production. The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period that runs until Dec. 7 is traditionally a busy time of year. During this period, all people with Medicare can change their Medicare health plan and their prescription drug coverage. What’s that mean for you? Offer a quality UA or First UA Medicare Supplement to Seniors who:

Need to be educated on the features of both Medicare Supplements and Medicare Advantage plans so they can make the best choice for them.

Turn 65 and need a plan to supplement Medicare for the first time.

Want to purchase a different Medicare Supplement plan than the one they currently have.

Have a Medicare Advantage plan, but are considering switching to a Medicare Supplement plan.

Definitely want to purchase something other than a Medicare Advantage plan.

All Seniors or soon-to-be Seniors could potentially be your next prospect or customer, whether or

not they currently have a Medicare Supplement. When Jan. 1, 2015, rolls around, you have another opportunity to promote the value and quality of UA and First UA to those disenrolling from a Medicare Advantage plan. But, I’ll talk more about that in Nov. and Dec. Summit!

Something I’m really excited about this year is the tremendous feedback the Directors, Recruiters, and I are receiving from Agents who have attended seminars and webinars. I want to share this one with you.

“Hello Tom (Hall),

I had the pleasure of meeting with you and Steve (Siet) yesterday morning at the Holiday Inn/OakBrook, while attending your training workshop. I must say this was by far the most informative workshop I have attended in my 25+ years in the business … jam packed with great, pertinent information presented in a straightforward, interesting, and entertaining manner. Well done! I look forward to a mutually profitable relationship with you all at UA.”

~ Agent Gary Mikoljak

If you haven’t attended a webinar or live seminar lately, what are you waiting for? Check the dates and locations on the Agent website and sign up today. Get ready, my friends! The fourth quarter is going to be a great one. I’m already looking forward to seeing you in Boca in 2015!

Life insurance can do some pretty amazing things for people. It can buy loved ones time to grieve. It can pay off debts and loans, providing surviving family members with the chance to move on with a clean slate. It can keep families in their homes and fund a child’s college education. It can keep a family business in the family. It can provide a stream of income for a family to live on for a period of time. First things first, though: you need to own life insurance..

Fundamental Life Series™ Life Insurance Policies from $25,000 to $500,000

United American Insurance Company has been one of the nation’s leading providers of life insurance products for more than 60 years. You can purchase United American’s life insurance with confidence that it is from a company that does what it says it will do.

Where will the money come from to pay for your final expenses and obligations?

The death of a loved one is an emotionally stressful time. Immediate financial obligations add to that stress. Funerals rank among the most expensive purchases many consumers will ever make. But funerals aren’t the only expenses. Cemetery costs, medical bills, and family living expenses also have to be considered.

The most logical reason to purchase life insurance is to relieve your family from the burden of paying for your final expenses when you die. But, it's not the only reason.

If you are no longer there to help support your family, how will they pay the mortgage, car payments, or credit card bills? If you have children, will their college tuition be in jeopardy?

A United American life insurance policy can help pay for immediate final expenses, life’s other necessities, or even provide a future nest egg for your children and grandchildren.

Planning today makes good financial sense – for people of any age – and can help ease the financial burden placed on your family when the inevitable happens.

You own the policyThe insurance policy is written to you as an individual and is not tied to any affiliation with a group or association.

Your policy cannot be canceledAs long as your premiums are paid on time, your policy cannot be canceled, regardless of your age or changes in your health.

Purchasing life insurance now helps ease the burden of final expenses from your

loved ones later.United American’s new whole life products are a great complement to UA’s term life products, the FUNDAMENTAL LIFE SERIES:

Available for issue ages 0 to 60; 20 to 70 or 20 to 60, depending on product selected.

Benefit amounts range from $25,000 to $500,000.

“No one ever told me when I was 13 my mom would die in the hospital from an accident. My brother was 4; my dad was 35; my mom was 31. If it were not for

the life insurance she purchased, my father would not have been able to keep the family going.”

~ UA Agent Neal Stacy

According to LIMRA, the Life Insurance and Market Research Association:

95 million adult Americans have no life insurance whatsoever.

Fewer than half of consumers ages 25 to 64 have individual life insurance coverage.

Forty-four percent of individuals without life insurance at least realize they need it.

Bottom line: Thousands of families either have no life insurance or not enough, leaving them one accident or terminal illness away from a financial catastrophe for their loved ones.

You also can offer customers UA’s new JUVENILE WHOLE LIFE PRODUCT (Form SWL):

Available for issue ages 0 to 18. Benefit amounts range from $1,000 to $25,000.

Where state approved, the Terminal Illness Accelerated Death Benefit is added at no additional cost to the policyholder.

The product has been approved for sale in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Utah. You’ll be notified as additional states are approved for both products.

Help protect the future financial wellbeing of your customers with affordable whole life and term life products from United American.

*Check if your state(s) limits or prohibits selling other products at the same time you sell a Medicare Supplement. A separate presentation may be required.
