Enjoy watercolors? We have instructional books on how to paint. Reading? Well, of course… We have tons of books, as well as online resource access! You have access to resources throughout the state of Michigan through the MelCat (mel.org) system. During the month of September, stop into the library and pick up a scavenger hunt booklet. This booklet will give you clues about businesses in downtown West Branch. Figure out the clue, visit the business and get your booklet stickered. Return the booklet for a sweet treat and get entered in a drawing for a prize package. We will draw for prizes the first week of October and contact the winner! You don’t need to be present to win. An informational meeting will be held in the West Branch District Library community room on Wednesday, September 4th, at 5:30 pm, concerning Minigrants that are available for locally developed, quality arts and cultural projects. The grant program deadline is Tuesday, October 15, 2013, for projects that fall within a timeline of January 1, 2014 through September 30, 2014.
