Minister: Worship is the divine calling the human to come to the waters and drink. People: It is humankind hearing the call and coming to receive the water of life,
so we come; Minister: as a thirsty land crying out for rain; People: as a sheep lost in the wilderness pleading for rescue by the good Shepherd;
Minister: As the same sheep nestled safely in the arms of the divine rescuer: People:: As a hungry heart seeking for love;
Minister: We hear the voice of our Father. People: O come let us worship and bow down
All: Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker
Introit – Psalm 121 Chant H. Walford Davies I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, O whence cometh my help? My help cometh even from the Lord, who hath made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved, and he that keepeth thee will not sleep. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord himself is thy keeper; the Lord is thy defence upon thy right hand, So that the sun shall not burn thee by day, neither the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil. Yea, it is even he that shall keep thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth for ever more. Gloria

OUT OF THE COLD
We hope you have had a wonderful summer. I know it seems like it is still a while away, but our planning committee has already begun to work on what is needed to begin our Out of the Cold Ministry here at Yorkminster Park. We do have some need for volunteers and are hopeful that you might be able to help us. We have two shifts where we have specific needs, which are our dinner service/clean up (6: 45 pm to 11 pm) and breakfast service/clean up (6 am until 8 am). Our service runs from the first Wednesday/Thursday of November to the first Wednesday/Thursday of April. We ask that volunteers commit to at least once per month, if at all possible. If you are interested, please contact Denise Roeleveld at [email protected]. She is coordinating our volunteer schedule. Thank you. We look forward to working with you.
