MBA, MHA, MSIT, PhD Dr. Kruse is a U. S. Army veteran. He has taught at the
undergraduate and graduate levels for six years. Dr.
Kruse worked in the healthcare technology industry
in the federal sector for eleven years and was a U. S.
Army Officer for over 20 years. Dr. Kruse has lived all
over the world and worked in a variety of roles: lead-
ership, policy making, personnel security, logistics, as
well as information system development and testing.

Victoria Swynenberg, MSN, RN, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner Texas State University Student Health Center
Viki Swynenberg earned a Mas-ters of Science of Nursing ~ Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, and a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Scott & White College of Nursing, in Belton TX. She has extensive experience caring for our nation’s veterans at the
VA Hospitals in both Waco & Temple. As well as experi-ence in family and urgent care settings in Galveston and Austin. Viki is married, has 4 four- legged children (rescue mutts) and resides in central Austin. For exer-cise Viki enjoys swimming, hiking, biking, and kick box-ing. As for leisure time, Mrs. Swynenberg enjoys good meals with friends and traveling, as well as walking the dogs to her local neighborhood park & visiting with our neighbors.

Each year a student who is enrolled in all or most of his/

to represent the interests of the Round Rock student
population. The purpose of this position is to collect the opinions of
our Round Rock constituents and provide their voice via
debate and discussion through legislation in the Stu-
dent Senate. This too is a great way to enhance your

The Teacher Recruitment Program (TRP) at Texas State
University’s Round Rock Campus has, over the last
fifteen years, been providing an accelerated pathway
for individuals, who hold baccalaureate degrees, to be-
come teachers. The two-semester, accelerated, gradu-
ate-level teacher preparation program has been very
successful in preparing teachers from a variety of
fields. As a “hands on”, field-based program, many of
our newly certified TRP teachers have found employ-
ment in Leander ISD, Round Rock ISD, Austin ISD, Hutto
ISD, Taylor ISD and Pflugerville ISD, just to name a few.
The majority of TRP participants go on to complete
their Master’s degree in Education and many have ad-
vanced to leadership positions in surrounding school
districts. Although TRP was designed for mid-career
individuals, TRP also accepts recent graduates. The next

perform satisfactorily on comprehensive exams. The purpose of
these exams is to ensure that each educator has the necessary
content and professional knowledge to perform effectively in Texas
