Main Street Monday!
Sept 25, 2017
Main Street Awards! It’s time to start thinking about
all the great things you’ve done and will do along
with the supporters and people who make things
happen in your community. The award time period
is Dec. 2016 — Nov. 2017 Attached to todays MSM
is the awards nomination form and I will have Diane
place it on the web-site in case you need to look for
it at a later date. Kentucky Main Street Facebook page is up and running.
It still needs work, but when you post something to your
Main Street page regarding events, awards, or a new
business opens please post on Kentucky Main Street as
well. Invite your board and others to like our page to see
not only what you are doing, but what other Kentucky
Main Street communities are doing as well. If you see
things that need to be added, changed, etc. please share
your thoughts. This is another avenue to spread the word
about your program and KYMS.
Bardstown Main Street presents the 37th, Arts,
Crafts, and Antique Fair October 14-15, 2017
The Bardstown Arts, Crafts & Antiques Fair
presented by LG&E and KU is a juried fair with
more than 200 artists’ booths. The two-day event is
free and open to the public. The Fair is held in
Bardstown’s historic district filled with tree-lined
streets and beautiful lawns. The following areas will
encompass this year’s fair – West Flaget Ave,
North Fourth Street, North Fifth Street, Xavier
Drive, Spalding Hall Lawn, City Hall Lawn, City Hall
Parking Lot and Parks & Rec Parking Lot. With over
45,000 people in attendance last year. The annual
Bardstown Arts, Crafts & Antiques Fair is a major
fundraiser for the Bardstown Main Street Program.
All proceeds are returned to our downtown
community through family-friendly events,
beautification projects, historic preservation efforts,
and supporting small business. The Bardstown
Main Street Program works hard as an organization
to continue to make downtown Bardstown a histori-
cally modern place to live, work and play. This is
one of the areas favorite events year after year.

Paducah’s haunted carriage rides
begin this week end and run
through the end of October.
Downtown Pineville
We've all heard it said in the past.....Beattyville is going to become a ghost town if something doesn't change. Well, things are changing alright, but in a positive way. So, we're going to put a positive spin on that whole "ghost town" thing. During the month of October we wanna be-come a "town of ghosts". We are encouraging all our businesses to decorate their store fronts with a ghost theme. The City and the Downtown Beattyville Alliance (Beattyville Main Street) will add ghost decorations to our lamp posts on Main Street. And, as in years past, the Woolly Worm Festival Committee will make town look beautiful with fall decorations. Our community has so much to be proud of! Let's join together and make it a place everyone wants to come see. Promotion sponsored by the Downtown Beattyville Alliance, Beattyville Lee
County Tourism and the City of Beattyville.
This is the last concert of the summer, come out and enjoy!!
Found this on a Main Street and thought it would be a fun
project for others!
