IntroductionObviously, the 2008

to 2009 school year is a special one for me.

It is my senior year, my final year at South Lancaster Academy.

This presentation will show the highlights of the second semester of which has been the best school year ever!

The End of the Basketball Season

From December to February, my S.L.A. Crusaders embarked on a tough journey.

We faced many trials and tribulations including embarrassing losses and crucial injuries.

Personally, I felt I did not play to my full potential.

The End of the Basketball Season

The season ended on a bad note as we finished with a record of 7-13

Since we did not have ten wins, my beloved Crusaders were not eligible to compete in the playoffs.

The End of the Basketball Season

Yet in the end, I still had a fun time playing as a Crusader.

I believe that our team became a brotherhood during the season.

There is nothing like wearing the colors of a Crusader.

I believe that once you’re a Crusader, you’re always a Crusader.

Valentine’s Banquet

On February 11, South Lancaster Academy hosted the annual Valentine’s Banquet.

It was located at the “Five Points Sheraton Hotel” in Leominster, MA.

Just like every year, the Seniors came in a limousine.

Valentine’s Banquet

The banquet was filled with different festivities.

We were able to eat great food, participate in contests, and take funny pictures.

After the banquet, we celebrated David Perez’s birthday!

Spring BreakFor Spring Break,

my dad was lucky enough to bring my mom, sister, and me to Nairobi, Kenya with him for an auditing trip.

For about 12 days, we were able to explore the country of Kenya!

Page 9: Senior Year Pt. 2

KenyaFor the duration of

our trip, we explored the East-Central African Division campus.

We met with missionaries from all over the world.

We also walked through towns and wandered through many stores.

Page 10: Senior Year Pt. 2

KenyaBut to me, nothing

was more important than seeing the wildlife.

We saw birds such as flamingos, pelicans, sandpipers, etc.

We saw animals such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, a leopard, etc.

Page 11: Senior Year Pt. 2

KenyaWe were so

fortunate enough to go to an animal orphanage, elephant orphanage, bird watching, and go on a safari.

Kenya

KenyaIf I could keep one

memory from this entire trip, I would have to say that petting a cheetah was my favorite memory.

It kind of made me think how Heaven would be like in which we could “dwell” with the lions, leopards, and cheetahs in perfect harmony.

Page 14: Senior Year Pt. 2

KenyaThis trip taught me

how negligent I was towards the rest of the world.

Africa amazed me with its hospitality, beauty, and wonder.

This trip was truly awe-inspiring!

Voce TourOn April 10-13, Voce

had the opportunity to tour Syracuse, New York.

We were able to put on four performances at local churches and the local Adventist academy.

On this trip, we bonded as a group, shared laughs, and just had an awesome time together.!

Live With HopeOn Saturday, May 2,

Voce took part in the “Impact Worcester: Live With Hope” rally.

We sang with the Pathfinders in our Division and sang a couple Voce favorites.

All in all, it was a fun day in which we could impact the people of Worcester in a Christ-like manner.

Spring ConcertOn Sunday, May 17,

our school held our annual Spring Concert.

The choir/voce chose about seven songs that were both religious and secular.

Even though the turnout was small, I could tell that the audience appreciated the good music that they heard.

ReflectionAs I look back at

this past semester and this whole year, I must say this was the best school year ever.

All the events from my trip to Kenya to the fun times with Voce have left lasting memories on me.

One Thing Left…

Though all of these experiences were truly awesome, there is one more BIG event left to uncover.

This event is GRADUATION!!!

8th Grade Graduation

ConclusionI hope that this

presentation has showed you some of my most memorable experiences during the last semester of my senior year.

In conclusion, I would like to say that even though this is the end of one road in my life, there is a another waiting to begin!
