Mr. Eddiebal Layco, and Dr. Alberto Gamboa attended the Regional Roll out for STEM specifically for
Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math at Hotel
Stotsenberg, Clarkfield, Pampanga. At the end of the
training, Mrs. Louie Fe Villanueva and Mrs. Rhiziel
Manalese were awarded as Natatanging Guro sa
Chemistry at Biology.
2. Engr. Reden M. Hernandez, Vice President for
Academic Affairs, delivered an inspirational message
and welcomed the parents as partners in educating the
students.

Dr. Jerame N. Gamboa, SHS Principal, presented the
administration, staff and faculty members of the Senior
High School comprising of teachers from different
Colleges. Prior to the presentation of faculty, the
Principal gave a short background about the
implementation of the Senior High School.
Dr. Jerame N. Gamboa also discussed the DepEd
Order No. 11 s. 2015 -- detailed guidelines on the
implementation of the Senior High School (SHS)
Voucher Program. She explained the key features of the
voucher program, agreements on SHS voucher
recipients, agreements on voucher tiering, requirements
and the grounds for disqualification.
Mrs. Aileen Koh, Grade 12 Coordinator, presented the
Senior High School Curriculum. She presented the
required subjects per strand from Grade 11 to Grade 12.
Mrs. Louie Fe S. Villanueva, SHS Academic
Chairman, discussed the grading system focused on
written work, performance tasks, and quarterly
assessment every quarter or term. Policies regarding
promotion and retention were also explained.
Mr. Eddiebal P. Layco, SHS Grade 11 Coordinator,

explained the policies for the quarterly and semestral award and the requirements for the Academic
Excellence Award.
Prof. Luz Lozano, SHS Discipline Coordinator,
discussed the SHS rules and regulations, minor and
major offenses.
Francis Jasper Hontanosas, SHS Student Council
President, presented the plans and targets of the
following organizations: The Advocate: Official
Publication of SHS; SHS Accounting Students Alliance;
STEM Society; HUMSS Society; SHS Technical
Community; SHS Student Council.
Engr. Mario Bau, SHS – PTO President discussed the
role and the accomplishments of the organization. He
also presented the projects made as well as the future
projects like additional sound systems and projectors
that will be of great help in educating the SHS students.
Dr. Jerame N. Gamboa, Principal of the Senior High
School, delivered an inspirational message and
welcomed the parents as partners and stakeholders in
dealing with the transition period. In her remarks, Dr.
Gamboa also reviewed some of the achievements of the
Grade 12 students.

4.General Faculty Meeting( July 14, 2017 )
Dr. Jerame Gamboa reviewed the parents about the
Senior High School Curriculum. She presented the
required subjects in Grade 12.
The SHS Principal also explained the work immersion.
It is a part of the SHS Curriculum consisting of 80 hours
of hands-on experience or work simulation. Primarily,
this immersion will expose the Grades 11 and 12
students to the actual workplace setting and to enrich the
competencies provided by the school under the
supervision of the School Head and the designated
personnel of the partner.
Mrs. Rhiziel Manalese, SHS Extension Coordinator,
reviewed the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the
University and of the Senior High School Department.

Call to Order: Upon motion duly made and seconded,
the meeting was called to order at 2:30 p.m. with Ms.
Aileen L. Koh, outgoing Faculty Association President,
as presiding officer.
2. The following agenda were presented and approved
by the body, viz:
a. Accomplishment Report of the Senior High
School Faculty Association (SHS-FA) for the
Academic Year 2016-2017
b. Payment of monthly dues
c. Financial report
d. Election of new set of officers
e. Reminders from the SHS Principal Ms. Aileen L. Koh presented the accomplishments of the
SHS-FA for the academic year 2016-2017 as follows:
a. Formulation of the SHS-FA Constitution and By-
Laws (CBL)
b. Giving of tumblers as tokens for birthday
celebrants
c. Christmas Party at Sindalan, City of San
Fernando in December 2016
d. Summer Outing (Manaoag - La Union - Baguio
City) on April 17-19, 2017
Article III: Section 3 of the CBL was emphasized to
clarify the payment of monthly dues by full-time and
part-time faculty members. It was agreed upon to
delegate to the next set of officers the following
decisions: (a) definition of “full-time” and “part-time”
faculty members, and (b) amount of monthly dues to be
paid by part-timers.
Everyone was enjoined to participate in the Zumba
sessions organized by the officers of the DHVTSU
Faculty Association with the following schedule:

Exhibits (RICE 2017) JULY 24-25, 2017 at
Central Luzon State University, Science
City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Viz,
Month, i.e., Disaster Awareness Seminar and Earthquake & Fire Drill on 28 July 2017 (Friday).
Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss,
the meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
The Senior High School Student Council together with
the presidents of each class and SHS Helping Hands
Club conducted a meeting about the General Assembly
and Club Fair last June 30, 2017. The things that have
been discussed are about the yell per section, games and
booths of the sub-organizations. In addition, Francis
Jasper Hontanosas, SHSSC President also discussed the
Bawal ang Plastikan Project, Cleaners’ Schedule,
General Cleaning every last Friday of the Month and the
distribution of cleaning materials per homeroom. The
meeting started at 4:24 P.M. and finished at 5:55 P.M.

RICE 2017 CHAMPION
DHVTSU-SHS student research entitled “Development
and Testing of Organic Water Color” bagged the 1st
Prize in the Student Creative Research Category (Sibol
Award for High School Level). The proponents

were proclaimed. The 2017 RSTW cum RICE
competition was officially ended with the Closing
Remarks of Provincial Science & Technology (PSTC) -
Tarlac Provincial Director Engr. Romeolito Tacbian
who formally accepted the challenge of hosting the next
Regional Science and Technology Week in Central
Luzon.
The SHS students had their 1st Quarter Examinations.

9. Mr. Raul Requine endorsed 10 TVL-Electrical Installation students to undergo the NC III Assessment
Bulacan. Ten (10) students namely Balingit Ivan,
Cayanan Jaycee, Ferrer Arvy, Galura Angelo,
Guevarra Aldrin John, Manalo David Tristan,
Pabustan Jaivince, Pineda Patrick, Quiroz,Johndell
Tuano Reymon were able to pass the said national
competencies test.
10.Mrs. Rhiziel Manalese and Mr. Rolan Randolf I.
Garcia with Dr. Jerame Gamboa organized an
earthquake and fire disaster drill. The said drill was
spearheaded by the Municipality Disaster Risk
Reduction Unit of Bacolor with the PNP and the
Bacolor’s Fire Department. During the said drill, the
students were trained of first aid, what to do during
disasters, and a simulation.
11.Dr. Alberto Gamboa, Mr. Joned Muñoz, Mrs.
Louie Fe S. Villanueva, Mrs. Florenda Ibasco and
Ms. Ditas Agnes Sotto attended a seminar entitled 1st
PSBMB Central Luzon Chapter Biotechnology

12. HUMSS SOCIETY together with the adviser Mr.
Aries Mercado, Mr. Jhon Reinjoe Namit and Ms.
Nina Diosa Garcia organized the department’s
celebration of the Buwan ng Wika. The following were

Pangangalaga sa Wikang Katutubo, Pagpapapyaman sa
Wikang Filipino” and also Esguerra, Ranelle of 11
STEM B WON THE 3RD place Spoken word poetry
13.The Grade 12 Students had their proposal defense in
their Research 2 subject held at the Multipurpose Hall
14. The SHS students’ copy of grades for the 1st Quarter
was distributed last August 31, 2017. Before which,
proposed the signature campaign of the SHS PTO were
discussed the advisers. Then, the TOP 10 students per
strand were announced per room and it was followed by
the cards out.
The Senior High School landed on the 5th place during
the Intramurals. Various competitions were joined by the
selected students.
