•Nominal Interest Rate: Taken from another table•Inflation: Manually inputted•Values based on 2011
• =+(1+inflation)*(1+inflation)
• =+(previous)*(1+inflation)
• Continued until final year
2013 Expanded Plan Residential Gas Screening Model –Avoided Cost tab
Res heat Column• C8 = 2013 numbers• =+(corresp. inflation adj)*(value from
other excel sheet)• Replicated for Column Res Water
NPV 1 • =IF( C8 = “”, “”,
NPV(Nominal_Interest_Rate, C$8;C8) * (1+Nominal_Interest_Rate)^.5For each NPV Column it sues the previous column (res heat, res water,
res other..) So NPV2 = IF( E8 = “”, “”, NPV(Nominal_Interest_Rate, E$8;E8) * (1+Nominal_Interest_Rate)^.5. E8 is 2013 Res Water
• C&L Heating: +Res Heat
• NPV4: same as previous
• C&L Other: +Res Water
• NPV5: same as previous
• Water Savings: =+(prev water savings) * (1+Inflation)
• NPV8: same as previous
• Annual $: =+(prev annual)*(1+inflation)
2013 Expanded Plan Residential Gas Screening Model –Avoided Cost tab
Unrelated to any other calculations:
•Nominal Interest Rate•Year•Water Savings•Annual $
2013 Expanded Plan Residential Gas Screening Model –Avoided Cost tab
•Manual Inputs: Row Number, Company, Sector, Program, Measure, Units•Taken from separate excel sheet: TR Cost, Incentive, Annual CCFs, Life, Type, Water Gallons, Annual $
•Peak Day CCFSs:=,00977*Annual CCFs=.00321*Annual CCFsThen repeated
The rest are from separate excel sheet
Unit Gas Benefit: =Calculation!P17/Input!F25B/C: Unit Gas Benefit//IncentiveIf(B/C<1, “Bad”,””)*Note several “bads”
2013 Expanded Plan Residential Gas Screening Model –Input Tab
•Avoided Cost: Manually Input•Number: Manual input•Calculation Factor: Manual Input
Note: Red corners may mean an error with the formula
2013 Expanded Plan Residential Gas Screening Model –Peak Calculator Tab
All numbers are manual inputs so possible error with the table.
The numbers don’t add up with the other numbers in the table.
For example when adding together the CNG Home Energy Solution TR Cost for each Measure shown in the calculation tab the number isn’t $388.836

Equation:
IF($G19<>"",BO19*INDEX(Winter_Peak,$G19,0)*$AK19*1000*Inputs!S19,"")
Logic Statement: $G19<>"" = not equal to 0
True: BO19*INDEX(Winter_Peak,$G19,0)*$AK19*1000*Inputs!S19
INDEX(Winter_Peak,$G19,0)(Look at G19 in “Measure Life”)
False: “” = leave blank
*constants are blue

The meaning of these value are unknown on both the calculations tab and the inputs tab.
Calculations Tab:
= IF(B6 <> “ “, IF(Inputs!H6>0, Inputs!H6, “ “), “ “)
<> = not equal to
! = referring to cells on another worksheet
$ = absolute reference
H6 on Inputs Tab = 5%
H6 on the Calculations Tab = 0
Before H19 the equation does not fit the value:
**Starting at H19 on the Calculations Tab the equations calls upon Inputs!G, and the column begins to match those values in the respective Inputs G column
Purpose: If the value in column B is not a blank, and if, in the Inputs tab, the value in the corresponding row in the H column is greater than 0, return that value.
Understanding the Quantity Column:
Energy Star HomesF218 = Number of homes Total = 150F224 = Geo Commissioning rebates = 1F225 = Central AC/Heat Pump rebates = 19 Low Income Energy StarF281 = Number of Homes Total = 50F284 = Number of Oil Heat Homes = 0F285 = Number of Propane Heat Homes = 0 Low IncomeF303 = Number of Electric heat Homes = 1,400F304 = Number of Gas Heat Homes = 3,500F305 = Number of Oil Heat Homes = 2,000F306 = Number of Propane Heat Homes = 34 Residential Consumer Products HESG106 = Heat Pump Water Heater- New Unit = 100G108 = Dehumidifier – New Unit = 50G109 = Dehumidifier – Early Retirement = 50G110 = Clothes Washer - E/DHW, E/DRY - New Unit = 50G111 = Clothes Washer - E/DHW, E/DRY – Retirement = 50
Inputs Tab: Measure Tables
One of the things mentioned specifically in the meeting is that these tables needed to be organized. They are currently randomly placed throughout the inputs tab.
