 THE POSITION:

Sr. Automation Engineer This role based in Vernon Hills IL, will report to the Manager of Automation Engineering. This position is pivotal in performing as a high profile leader for projects within the automation team as well as automation projects engineering tasks associated with quoting, designing, and implementing systems into the liquid dairy, beverage and food industry . The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and will bring expertise in automation tools with a commitment to customer focus, quality and innovation. This person will impact the organization by being a recognized leader and proactive problem solver, while showing the enthusiasm for the company.

Responsibilities:

Act as an Automation Project Leader on large projects, managing action items and timelines for projects within the Process Engineering team

Interface with account managers and customers to assess the customer requirements and thereby create cost effective quotations, lead project teams to develop quotations

Coordinate electrical design with panel suppliers and analyze and assess quality control Provide ongoing customer support & troubleshooting as necessary Conduct automation training for customer personnel on the installed systems System design and support for creating MES applications, HMI and PLC Programs to meet project

requirements Execute startup and commissioning of systems in conjunction with Process Engineer

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required- Software/Programming or Electrical Engineering

APL (Automation Project Leader) experience required Desire to be groomed for a future management role required PLC Programming, programming in VB or .NET and DB/SQL experience preferred    Knowledge within in Windows AD and network design preferred Electrical Engineering or Computer Science experience preferred Proven experience and commitment of serving customers and striving for excellence Background and passion to work in a culture driven by innovation, sustainability, growth and performance.
