Sendera Recreation Committee News - June 2014
(Continued on Page 3)
Our current Covenants do not allow vehicles to be parked overnight in the street under any circumstance. However, past Boards have written guidelines permitting overnight street parking on weekends and under special circumstances. Because our management company does not monitor after normal business hours, volunteers will start to leave stickers on cars they find parked in the street between the hours of 11pm - 6am Sunday through Thursday. This sticker serves as a friendly reminder to park you vehicle in your driveway. Second violations will result in fines.
Please remember there are purposeful and good reasons for our Covenants and equally good reasons to follow them.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation,
Todd Moore
The Violet Crown Trail is a project of the Hill Country Conservancy (HCC) and the City of Austin (COA). It is a regional trail system that will begin at Barton Springs Pool and wind more than 30 miles south to Hays County. Part of the Trail will run through Sendera. This is a short update on the progress of the construction of the section of the Trail that will run from Davis and Latta to Slaughter and Sendera Mesa.
The project agreement between COA and HCC/Sendera is being finalized. The City is determining if the tail will affect the drainage channel that runs parallel to Sendera Mesa. Estimates for the construction are being finalized. In this section, the Trail will be a 10 foot asphalt lane with 6 inches of ribbon curb on each side for a total width of 11feet. Asphalt was chosen due to user preference as well as ease of maintenance.
If you want more information about the Violet Crown Trail, visit the Hill Country Conservancy’s web site at www.hillcountryconservancy.org and click on the Trail icon. You can sign up for Trail updates.
