IV. Guest Speakers Alumni Association- Alicia Ross & Kelsey Haupt They encouraged participation in Student Ambassadors program and Student Alumni Association, as upon graduation we will all become alumni members of UWF for life.

VI. Legislative Addresses Senate President Self: Thank you for coming and supporting SGA day and for your participating in the SGA Leadership Development Day with Career Services. We currently have 5 open Senator positions available. Senate will be cancelled next week due to homecoming, however we encourage participating in the UWF Tailgate. Rules and Statutes Committee Chair Ibrahim: New Senators please connect with her, after senate, in regards to orientation to learn more about SGA. University Outreach Committee Chair McBurney: His committee has been working on dates for Academic Town Hall Meetings the first week of November and new projects. Student Outreach Committee Chair Singletary: Hands to Paws raised a total of $352 for the Humane Society during their event on Wednesday supported by SGA. The committee is currently complying results from the #Trending UWF Survey and working on a new admissions survey. Budget and Allocations Committee Chair Thrasher: The committee met and approved the funding as followed: -$500 Student Social Work Organization -$1,000 Holley Langille & Brittney Paxfon -$540 Samatha Laforture -$500 Karla Cailleret -$740 Students for Sensible Drug Policy -$400 Maureen Howard -$400 Intermural Flag Football -$? National Society for Black Engineers

VII. Executive Addresses President Hill: Provided an update from the Florida Student Association (FSA):

Working to make Florida schools more military friendly Adding need base funds to supplement Bright Futures Scholarships. CTIF bonding to help UWF as they continue to grow and build new non-academic

buildings. Request that PECO funding be reallocated to provide more money to state

universities. Reviewing current excess hours surcharge

Vice President Wood: She reviewed Write It Out Wednesday comments from SGA Day about Chartwells. Freshman Committee worked today on public speaking and heard from Mrs. Ross. Finally, she encouraged preparation for upcoming Tropical Storm Karen.

Chief of Staff Sosa: Homecoming is listed on the UWF website and volunteer options available. The Green Free proposal form is out to encourage sustainability ideas for campus. Thank you for the opportunity to attend the Florida Student Association (FSA), it was a great experience and generated new ideas for SGA. Also the Academic Reorganization is still on going and we welcome feedback. Finally we will be adding biographies to the SGA website for our Executive Board.

X. Unfinished Business B V-Freshman Committee Bill Motion by Senator Arias to forgo the second reading of the Freshman Committee Bill, seconded by Senstor Wright. No debate, no opposition, motion passes 26-0-0

XII. Adjournment A. Standing Committee Reports Parking and Transportation Advisory Committee- Director of Governmental Affairs Friedland

Any students addressing trouble with finding parking on campus please inform them of Lot Z & E that are always available.

Parking Services will be cutting approximately 25 reserved parking spots in the University Commons to reduce the trouble of finding commuter parking spots.

Arrows will be repainted for visibility along campus roads. A UWF Trolley App will soon be available by Fall 2014 with tracking capabilities

to constantly monitor the locations of trolleys. Finally Parking Services will be updating parking ticket software.

B. Closing announcements

Phi Bata Sigma is working on a can food drive, so please bring your canned food to the boxes in the University Commons. Start Up Weekend with Pensacola Chamber is next weekend for students who may have an idea for an inventive business. Pensacolastartupweekend.org Alpha Chi Omega is hosting a Silent Auction and illumniary presentation tomorrow
