Introduction

The range of Safegard Electro MechanicalStandard Control Panels are designed forthe control and monitoring of either 24Vor 230V damper actuators in groups of10, 20 or 30.

Damper control actuators to be connectedto the site wiring, which when installed bythe contractors, shall provide the relevantstandard functions.

Specification

Each group of 10 dampers are controlledand monitored via separate controllerswhich can be numbered/referencedaccording to site requirements.

The damper control controllers areterminated to provide for all externalconnections to the dampers, Fire Alarmsand BMS Contacts.

Dampers are controlled by Zones andmonitored individually.

Damper locations can also be recordedon a printed label fitted beside each LED.

Input terminals are provided to accept 1Volt free contact interface with the FireAlarm System per group of 10 dampers.

These contacts are Normally Closed (NC)going open in an alarm.

SEMP 20 & SEMP 30 are dispatched asstandard with links for additional zoneoperation.

In addition each Control Panel providesan output terminal to provide a Volt freecontact interface with a BMS. This is achangeover contact, which goes closedcircuit to indicate either a not normal orfault condition.

Introduction

The SCMP consists of a number ofsmoke/fire dampers hard wiredindividually or in groups to a centralcontrol panel. The dampers may beindividually or collectively controlled andcontinuously monitored.

Dampers and control actuators may havediffering control and monitoringrequirements and therefore will beconnected to the site wiring, which wheninstalled by the contractor, will providethe relevant specified functions.

Specification

The SCMP typically consists of theappropriate number of switches toprovide individual or group control, LEDindication for status monitoring and allnecessary relays and timers to complywith the customer needs for fully or semi-automatic damper operation.

Interface with the Fire Alarm panel is viavolt-free contacts which are normallyclosed and open upon alarm, the SCMPwill then activate relevant dampers to theiralarm status.
