Objective

Create a community of young artists around the North Dallas Area to develop & promote their artistic talent through an annual inter-school Arts Program.

Leverage a child’s pure, untouched mind for innovative ideas for a better society and help open a world of opportunities.



Program PossibilitiesSome of the possibilities this program/event can generate are: (non-exhaustive list)

– Promote Art & creativity amongst children in schools around Dallas• Create a repeatable annual event

– Tap their pure minds for simple, innovative, breakthrough ideas for problems we see around us.

• Children’s view of the WORLD, that they would like to live in, through their paintings/drawings.

• As parents, we leverage their paintings and their creative thoughts to help create that beautiful world our kids dream of where there will be a ton of opportunities

– Talent Search (best artist)

– Fund raising (I like to raise money for non-profit organizations by organizing an auction of the artwork our kids generate). Lot of children around the world that are not so lucky as us and our children can benefit from such simple events.

Program Details I want to organize an Art Event where children from various elementary and middle school will

spend a couple of hours drawing, sketching and painting at their schools on a given topic. Kids can use pencils, color pencils, crayons , markers, paints or pictures to create their Art. They will select any one topic from the given choices. They are expected to think about what is NOT working with the given topics and draw a potential

solution to that problem. They can pour their hearts and minds into their Art to share their views about the respective

problem and how they can solve the problem if all constraints were removed. They can paint a “new world” that they perceive for themselves. A world they would like to live in. Their drawings will be collected by the school or organizers and will be judged by a panel of artists. The best three drawings will be acknowledged and their drawings will be displayed at a reputed

organization. (like the museum of arts in Dallas or the Community Arts centers) These drawings can also be printed in the local newspaper/magazine These drawings (with permission from the schools & parents will be auctioned) and the proceeds

from the auctions will go towards a non-profit organization. (Pratham – http://www.pratham.org , CARE – www.care.com, St. Jude’s Research Hospital - http://www.stjude.org)

This will be an annual event and each year schools we will have similar events.

Any feedback/recommendation on how we can organize this Art event ?

Contact names of folks within the City Public Art, Any Youth Council or other Art related departments to assist with the event.

Assistance from the Art’s Selection Committee (ASC) to help judge the top 5-10 drawings.

Art collection method

Assistance with any legal aspects of the Art Exhibit once the event is over (i.e. display/auction of art for the fund raising)

Assistance with a suitable date/time that best works for the school as well as the panel of judges

Award Committee and Award Ceremony

School Selection

School Board Notification to the school board for this event

Schools/Principals Notification to the teachers for this event

Organizing this activity within their respective schools

Art Collection from students and dispatch to central board for assessment

Museum of Art Display Art at their Museum
