Advisor notes
“Warning Note” Some course have recommendations. Mouse
over the blue symbol and read the message. Acknowledge these recommendations before selecting the course.
“Issue Note” Some courses have specific requirements. A
course with this symbol, if selected will prevent you from submitting your Course Selections. Grade 9 courses do not have the red symbol.
6. Click the “SUBMIT” button to submit the
courses... Beginning Monday, February 12
7. Print your selections and have them signed by
your parent/guardian
8. Hand in to your Grade 8 teacher

WHY IS THIS SO
IMPORTANT…
Your choices help determine the
school’s ‘master timetable’
…how many classes, where they are scheduled, in what
period, in what semester etc.
Registration Form and Transfer form submitted to High School by February 2
Lock in your Course Selections beginning on the 12th.
Hand in signed Option Sheet to Grade 8 teacher no later than the 23rd. Option Sheet to High schools by the 28th

March. Have you selected correctly?
➢Visit by King City students in the Spring
and then...
➢Pass Grade 8
➢Late August Registration and
timetable pickup
➢High School starts
1st day – Grade 9 only
Final words of advice…
❖Review your Grade 8 performance in March and compare to your choices for next September. Have you selected courses for which you have the academic preparation?
❖Make realistic decisions.
❖Remember that you can take longer than 4 years to complete your high school diploma
❖Work hard and be optimistic about your future!
