As always, complete what you can, circumstances in every home are different and I understand

finished, keep doing them as normal this week and check back to see if you missed any units.

Useful Tips

Monday and Tuesday: I have attached workcards for you. These are at the bottom of the page. Please remember to do full sentences.

Wednesday: We are moving onto a new writing genre called ‘persuasive writing’. This is when you write a balanced argument. This means you

are for AND against the statement mentioned above. You must include reasons for why fast food shops should be banned AND also why they

should stay open.

Look at this website to help with the layout of the persuasive writing: https://www.twinkl.ie/resource/au-l-53229-introduction-to-persuasive-

text-powerpoint

Brainstorm your ideas first. Remember you have to be for and against the statement.

Thursday: I’m sure you’ll enjoy this debate! Write down a few points as to why you think pets should be allowed to come to school and present

it to your parents/older sibling. Remember you can always be against the motion!

Friday: Write antonyms for these words: weak/slow/dangerous/increase/healthy/aggressive/inaccurate/different. Now put antonym words into

sentences.
