The owner and founderof the Indigenous Careersand Employmentwebsite, Kylie Kinsela,said that in some statesabout 70 per cent ofindigenous Australianswith a jobworkedwithingovernment.

‘‘Wewant to show themthe options available inthe private sector,’’ MsKinsela said.

She said thewebsitewould be aimed at youngindigenous Australians,whomake up about60 per cent of theAboriginal population.

‘‘They are beginning touse the internetmore andmore and using it to gainemployment,’’ she said.

Thewebsite isdesigned to connectindigenous candidateswith employers.

It specialises in therecruitment of indigenousAustralians, as well asnon-indigenous peoplewith indigenous expertiseor thosewhowant tomove into this sector.
