have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound moreand more.

    2) For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.3) For this is the will of God, even your sanctification(G38), that ye should abstain fromfornication:4) That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification(G38) andhonour;5) Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:6) That no man go beyond and defraud(G4122) his brother in any matter(G4229): because thatthe Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.7) For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness(G38).8) He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us hisholy Spirit.

Joh_17:17-2117) Sanctify(G37) them through thy truth: thy word is truth.18) As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.19) And for their sakes I sanctify(G37) myself, that they also might be sanctified(G37)through the truth.20) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on methroughtheir word;21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, artin me, and I in thee, that they also

may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Eph_5:25-2825) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church(G1577), and gave

    himself for it;

    What is the church?

whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our LordJesus Christ.

What is the meaning behind this word wholly? In the Greek it is used only here.

Practice patience, HE is patient with you as HE also has Faith in you.

The next word shows this to be true (unto) and that that follows is where you find the answers.

Interesting that the pronunciation of the Greek word itself is ice, as in 'breaking the ice'.However, in the English ice is water that is frozen. It's the meaning behind the term.

    13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.14) Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinnedafter the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many bedead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.16) And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one tocondemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive

abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

    18) Therefore as by the offence of onejudgment came upon all men to condemnation; even soby the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.19) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience(G5218) ofone shall many be made righteous.

Rom_6:15-1915) What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Godforbid.16) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey(G5218), hisservants ye are to whom ye obey(G5219); whether of sin unto death, or of

obedience(G5218) unto righteousness?17) But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed(G5219)from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.18) Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.19) I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as yehave yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; evenso now yield your members servants to righteousnessuntoholiness(G38).

Heb_9:1-171) Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldlysanctuary.2) For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.3) And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;4) Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about withgold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, andthe tables of the covenant;5) And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannotnow speak particularly.6) Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the firsttabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.7) But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, andforthe errors of the people:8) The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yetmade manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

    9) Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts andsacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to theconscience;10) Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.11) But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater andmore perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;12) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in onceinto the holy place, having obtained eternal redemptionfor us.13) For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling(G4472)the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

    14) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offeredhimself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve theliving God?15) And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they whichare called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.16) For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.17) For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at allwhile the testator liveth.

Heb_10:16-2516) This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I willput my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;17) And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.18) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.19) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest(G39) by the blood of Jesus,20) By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is tosay, his flesh;21) And having an high priest over the house of God;22) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith(G4102), having our heartssprinkled(G4473) froman evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

    23) Let us hold fast the profession of ourfaith(G4102) without wavering; (for he isfaithful(G4103) that promised;)24) And let us consider one another to provokeuntolove and to good works:25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but

exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

    Heb_12:22-29

    22) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenlyJerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

    23) To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and toGod the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,24) And toJesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling(G4473),that speaketh better things than that ofAbel.

Why would it say YAHSHUAH'S sprinkling of blood speaketh better things than thatof Abel? To better understand this... check out the study I worked on having to do withAbel and his blood (Tiller of the ground Working in the Field). The Hebrew meaningsof the words.

    25) See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him thatspake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh fromheaven:26) Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more Ishake not the earth only, but also heaven.27) And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as ofthings that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.28) Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, wherebywe may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:29) For our God is a consuming fire.

Mat_16:14-1914) And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, orone of the prophets.15) He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?16) And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh andblood(G129) hath not revealeditunto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Heaven who revealed the Truth to Peter. It is the same for those who have eyes to seeand ears to hear.

Joh_1:41-4241) He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found

the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.42) And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art

Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, Astone.

1Co_15:4-94) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third dayaccording to the scriptures:5) And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:6) After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; ofwhom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallenasleep.7) After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.8) And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.9) For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called anapostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

When is it that Peter would begin to be called Cephas? Byinterpretation a stone? It is after CHRIST YAHSHUAH roseagain. Cephas, would be the first to see HIM after HISresurrection. Then after the twelve would also. Makes oneconsider Peter's life walk.

    18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

    19) And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shaltbind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall beloosed in heaven.

Notice, the order YAHSHUAH gave this in.

    1. That thou art Peter, 2. and upon this rockI will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And here is a special privilege given to him in verse 19:

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:

and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed inheaven.

There are some key words that should remind you of someone. Some, the verythings Peter had trouble with. And others into which would apply to him whenhis name was Cephas.

But there is something in it, familiar, but not felt in such a waythe world would give it. Tremendous Comfort as that of being a child of a caring parent, butstill even surpasses that. The word unspeakable in this verse is it's only occurrence.
