SEEDS is the abbreviated word for 'Samsung Engineering Electrical Design System'

SEEDS has objects that Electrical Engineers can use common data base for each project by

managing works and making automatic engineering system to improve a work efficiency and

quality of design.

SEEDS is composed of the 'Load Summary', 'Calculation Program Interface', 'Single Line.

Diagram', 'Sequence Diagram', Equipment Layout, Cable List', 'Main Cable Route', and so on.

The Object of this manual is to explain how to use SEEDS program that is made for

working on windows-based interfaces and web regarding 3D modeling work by intergrating

Load Summary, Cable List and Main Cable.

II.0 Motor Schedule Convert

By Motor Schedule Convert Program you can make Excel format that you can import

motor schedule of Mechanical department or other part to load summary of SEEDS.

In Process/Mechanical department they manage motors by common Item No. but in

Electrical/Piping/Civil department it requires to manage normal and standby motors so

SEEDS make item numbers of normal and standby motors according to quantities of normal

and standby motors.

You can input the information of location on the Table directly. You input the Elevation

of the spot of cable leading in directly. The information you input into the Group Code

attribute is used to designate the installation Route of cable with the Cable Group

attribute of Cable Route. (if the Group Code attribute is 'LV', the cable is installed using

the cable Route which attribute is 'LV')

If the coordinate of location is down to decimal point, you re-setup the attributes of Grid

Lock, Snap Lock, Coordinate Readout of Microstation and so on.

3) Cable Path

By clicking 'Eqpt. Loc & Cable Route' and then 'Cable Route' menus, you can manage the

3.1) How to input the data

Fixed Side : At the time of creating the Cable Route, you cannot know the size of

the Cable Tray, Trench and so on. So you assign the line which is

invariable according to the result of calculating the size in the direction

of N, S, E, W and so on. In the case of the sagging Cable Route, you

can assign the Fixed side in the direction of N, S, E, W and so on.

According to the attribute of the Fixed Side, the Fitting Type like

Reducer Type, and location are determined.

Height : You can create the Cable Route using the x, y coordinates on the plane,

and assign the Elevation using the Height attribute.

Route Group : If the Cable Tray of 2 levels or more is needed to be installed, you

can assign connection of the Cable Tray using the attribute of the

Route Group. And in the case of the installation of the Cable Tray

for high-pressure, low-pressure and control, you can assign HV, LV1,

LV2, CONT to the Group attribute.

Route Type : Input 'TRAY', 'TENCH', 'DUCT' and so on. You can input any type

value like 'DUMMY' if the Cable Route where the Cable Tray and the

Cable Trench are connected is necessary but the 3D modeling

element is not necessary.

Cable Group : By using the attribute of the Group Code, you can designate the Cable

to be installed using the Cable Route. If the number of the

attribute of the Group Code is 2 or more, you input the values,

dividing[separating] each Group Code by ','

Page 71: SEEDS Manual English Version Rev.0

Double-click the Route Name on the Table, and check yes or not. If you click the

'Yes' button, the Cable route is deleted from Microstation and from the Table.

3.5) Function of Microstation's Tag

If you create the Cable Route using 'Add', 'Delete' and 'Edit', you can refer for for

the same attribute using Review Tag at Microstation.

Using Attach Tag, Edit Tag and so on at Microstation, you can work related to Cable

Route. To reflect the data that you worked at Microstation, you can use 'Get Data

From Drawing(Append)' and 'Get Data From Drawing(Overwrite)'

When you create the Cable Route from two or more Microstation Files, you can use

'Get Data From Drawing(Append)' button.

To reflect the data you worked at the table to Microstation inversely, you can

reconcile the contents of the DB with the attribute of Microstation using 'Edit

Attribute To Drawing' and 'Create Cable Route To Drawing'

Clicking 'Edit Attribute To Drawing' button, you can change the attribute of the Cable

Route at the Microstation among the Cable Route on the Table. Clicking 'Create

Cable Route To Drawing' button, you can create new Cable Route at Microstation by

in order, you can set the Elevation of Bend, Tee, Cross and so on.

Set the Elevation, referring for the Cable Path Data at crossings of more than two Cable

Paths. In the case that a crossing has the same Cable Path Elevation as another one, an 'N'

appears in the Check Cell. In that case, you cannot set the Elevation.

Peripheral Fittings, such as Reducer, Elbow, Vertical Adjustable and so on, are set

according to the Elevation of each Bend, Tee, Cross and so on.

If Cable Path Elevations are different from each other, it must be figured out whether

Modeling is executed using a 90 degree Elbow. If there is no need for space, Modeling is

executed using a 45 degree Vertical Adjustable.

If you want to assign an Elbow to P1(T) ~ P4(T), enter 'E'.

If you want to assign an Adjustable [to there], enter 'A'.

After setting the angles for P1(A) ~ P4(A), you can create an arbitrary Fitting for the user.
