Promote quality compliance and mitigate risk Visual controls can help reduce the risk of hospital-acquired conditions, which can drive up cost and compromise patient outcomes. A TURN indicator helps remind the nurse to turn the patient regularly and carry out all required protocols, while a FALL indicator encourages everyone on the unit to check in on fall risks. Managers can identify these and other at-risk patients housewide.
