Nottinghamshire Hospice is an independent, local charity and we’ve been caring for adults living with cancer and other life limiting illnesses, and their families, across Nottinghamshire since 1980. We believe that every day should be the best it possibly can be for the patient, their family and all those who care for them. We make this possible by listening and bringing the right support together at the right time. We’re with people however they need us, wherever they need us, for as long as they need us.

Our care is provided through the generosity of the people of Nottinghamshire who support us tirelessly every day, by volunteering their time and by fundraising - including taking on one of the many exciting challenges in this guide!

Nottinghamshire are not alone during the most difficult time of their lives.

won’t just be getting out of your comfort zone, ticking something off your bucket list or getting fit and healthy – your training and hard work will support people in Nottinghamshire dealing with a life-limiting illness, so you really can change lives.

All of the funding we receive is spent on the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, you can be sure that the funds we receive from your challenge won’t be supporting a national headquarters, other people in neighbouring counties or those not experiencing terminal or life-limiting illness. We truly are a Nottingham and Nottinghamshire home-grown hospice and locally loved charity.

So, whether you’re a diehard daredevil or just fancy pushing yourself towards a personal challenge, we’ve got places on a great range of events including prestigious cycle events, epic charity treks and even sponsored skydives - read on to find out more!

The Women’s Running Race is a fun, friendly and supportive running race catering for all running types. Whether you’re a first timer, a club runner, or chasing a new personal best, this event can help you to achieve your goals.

Women’s Running 10k/5k - TBC

London to Paris Cycle

Cycling from London to Paris is one of the best cycling experiences in Europe. The “pièce de résistance” of this cycle challenge will be the final cycle up the Champs de Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, following in the tyre tracks of the cycling greats, before watching them cycle the same route the next day in the finale of the Tour de France!
