DAY 1 - Johannesburg We will meet as a group at OR Tambo late evening for our international flight to the Netherlands, ready to start our beautiful tour of Holland and the surrounding areas. This bucket-list tour wil be a lifetime highlight as we tour to see Andre Rieu in concert! Dinner and breakfast on board.

DAY 2 - Amsterdam Arrival early morning we will catch our connecting flight to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is famously gezellig, a Dutch quality that translates roughly as ‘convivial’ or ‘cosy’. Golden canals lined by tilting gabled buildings are the backdrop for Amsterdam’s treasure-packed museums, vintage-filled shops. On arrival, we will transfer to our hotel for check in and dinner.

DAY 3 - Amsterdam After breakfast we visit the Van Gogh Museum for some reflection time to enjoy the history and art of this famous Dutch painter. Next we commence with our two hour guided tour around this iconic city. After an opportunity for lunch we will take a late afternoon a canal cruise before checking in to our hotel. The group will have dinner together.

DAY 4 - Amsterdam Today is a day at leisure in the cultural capital of the Netherlands. After breakfast you will have the oppor-tunity to explore the many important sites of the city. The bus will transfer us to a central meeting point early morning. Why not take a few hours to visit the Rijksmuseum (to see the magnificent Rembrant art). Your could also visit “Dam Square” the hub of Amsterdam and enjoy a picnic lunch (for your own account). Should you wish to do a cycle tour of Amsterdam, our friendly chaperone will assist you with all the maps and booking info. For those who want to “stick with the group” we will do a red bus tour of the city. We will meet back at our hotel for a delicious group dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 - VolendamAfter breakfast we will take a short transfer to our hotel in Volendam. Flanked by water Volendam is an artist’s retreat in the early 20th Century, with both Picasso en Renoir spending time there. Quaint little chocolate box houses line the streets as Dutch folk songs tumble out of the sidewalk cafes. Upon arrival we will do a walking tour of the town, where you will have the opportunity to shop, eat and take photos with the townsfolk who wear traditional Dutch attire. You may even enter a yodelling competition! We will have dinner and overnight in our beautiful artist’s hotel in Volendam!

DAY 6 - AlkmaarAfter breakfast we transfer to Alkmaar to visit the world famous cheese captial of the Netherlands. In this cute town, tourists can observe the townsmen carting large cheese rounds from factory to the market. Market stalls can be visited, sampling all the local delicacies. After free time for lunch and shopping, we will head off to the Beatles Museum - a world famous site in Alkmaar! Later check in for dinner and overnight at our hotel in Volendam.

DAY 7 - MaastrichtAfter breakfast we will make our way through the countryside from Alkmaar to Maastricht to check in at our hotel. Maastricht is the southernmost city in the Netherlands, and is the capital of the province of Limburg. Situated on the Maas river, within walking distance of Belgium and cycling distance of Germany, it claims to be the oldest city in the Netherlands. A great place to spend some time, it contains some magnificent

buildings and culture, taking the form of plenty of old houses and buildings, lovely cathedrals and a spectacularly cobblestoned town centre. The city is also well known for its fine cuisine, excellent shops and multicultural atmosphere. We will enjoy a guided city tour of Maastricht for 2 hours after which we will proceed to our magnifi-cent country estate hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 - MaastrichtBreafast in the hotel and day at leisure. Those who wish can sleep to-day and enjoy the beautiful park grounds of our hotel. Take a walk in the local forest or enjoy a high tea in the gardens. The town is nearby and our bus will drop off the tour group for some exploring time over lunch. We will head back to the hotel early afternoon for a nap.

After an early dinner, dressed in our finest, transfer to Vrijthof Square where a massive stage set up for the evening performance by Andre Rieu. From our excellent section seated in the second block near the stage, we will be surrounded by the marching bands as Andre’s orchestra takes the stage. The entire Vrijthof square is transformed into one great big open-air concert arena, filling the air with delightful melodies drawn from operas, operettas and musicals, the world of classical music, and catchy waltzes, punctuated by comical and moving moment and, most of all, plenty of romance. André Rieu explains: “Maastricht is my home. This is my city. The open-air concerts on the beautiful Vrijthof square, in the most amazing atmosphere, feel like a home match for me. In short, it is a musical highlight in the summer.”

After an unforgettable evening in Maastricht, we will head back to our hotel for a well deserved rest.

DAY 9 - Amsterdam After breakfast, having enjoyed a spectacular concert, we transfer to Amsterdam for our flight home. We will fly mid-afternoon en route to Johannesburg.

DAY 10 - South AfricaThe following day we land back in South Africa after a beautiful tour across the Netherlands with new friends and very special memories.

In issuing or obtaining the issue of any ticket or coupon, on making any arrangement for transport or convey-ance, or for accommodation, the Organizing Agents act as agents only, and shall not be liable as principals.b. The Organizing Agents shall be entitled to make any arrangements for the issue of any ticket or coupon or for transport or for conveyance or for accommodation as they in their entire discretion may deem advisable.c. In such event, any monies paid will be refunded, less any expenses, disbursements or other commitments incurred on behalf of the passengers, and in such event the Organizing Agents will accept no further or other liabilities whatsoever. The right is further reserved to modify the tour in any way they deem advisable. In this event, the projected tour will not be proceeded with unless a minimum number of passengers (at the discretion of the Organizing Agents) participate.12.Tours are planned on the basis of twin bedded rooms and where for reason beyond their control, the Organizing Agents cannot accommodate any participant on this basis, the passenger will be obliged to pay the supplement for a single room unless he/she can arrange with two other passengers of the same sex to share with them a three-bed-ded room. In the event of a three-bedded room being used, the tariff for twin-bedded accommodation will apply.13.The Organizing Agents reserve the right to cancel any passenger from a tour with immediate effect, in the interest of the tour group.
