Upon arrival, it wasdiscovered that a physical altercation had takenplace between two subjects. Both subject wereuninjured and refused medical attention.Neither party requested charges be filed.Parties left the bar for home, without furtherincident.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambu-lance responded to a medical emergency onCarpenter Street. Engine and ambulance onscene. Crew assisted with patient informationand loading for a female in her 60s with lowerback pain. Patient transported to CHOMP byambulance.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambu-lance on scene at a Casanova Street residencefor a male in his 80s who was uninjured butunable to get out of the bath tub. Emergencypersonnel assisted him out the tub, and he wasable to walk on his own at this point. Hedesired no further assistance at this time so allunits returned to the station.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dis-patched on a mutual aid for Westmed to a pos-sible coastal incident, kayakers in trouble.Upon arrival of the ambulance and other emer-gency vehicles and lifeguards, contact wasmade with subjects who turned out to be div-ing. No emergency. Ambulance canceled bybattalion chief.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambu-
lance on scene for a smoke detector activationdue possibly to smoke and dust from a faultyfurnace. Resident was advised to not use thefurnace until it was inspected and serviced by alicensed repair person. A check of the furnaceby fire personnel showed it was extremely dirtyand full of cobwebs. The smoke detector waschirping, indicating a low battery, which fire-fighters replaced.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambu-lance on scene for a female in her 20s experi-encing pain in her left shoulder and right but-tocks secondary to a fall at San Carlos andFourth. The patient said she tripped over a rock,and she appeared to be intoxicated. Her friendsconfirmed she had consumed four to five“Bacardis.” Firefighters assisted ambulancepersonnel with patient assessment, packagingand gathering information. The patient wastransported to CHOMP. Carmel policeresponded for the fall on city property.
