Afterestablishingastablesittingpostureandasmooth,relaxedbreathingpattern,practice
bhastrikapranayamawithawarenessinthenostrils.(Bhastrikaisarhythmic,vigorouspranayama

Step 2. Pracchardana
Whilepracticingbhastrika,slightlyconstrictthethroattodirectyourenergyandfocustothe
roofofthemouth(thesoftpalate).Thisispracchardana—strikingandvibratingthesoftpalate

Step 3. Vidharana
Whenyourfocusisdrawntotheajna chakra,theeyebrowcenter,andintensifiesthere,finish
withastrongexhalationandadeepinhalationthroughthespotofintensefeeling.Retainthe
breath(kumbhaka)withyourfocusattheeyebrowcenter,andfillthisactivatedspace(theajna
chakra)withintention,purpose,andmeaning.Fillthespaceaboveandaroundthefocalpoint
