The Macarthur region’s leading Christian Independent Preparatory School is now offering Secondary education.

The Schools’ Council has agreed to the expansion of St Peter’s. Whilst there is much to achieve, Year 7 will commence in 2022.

St Peter’s is growing to offer the same quality, innovative and future focused education to secondary students that we’ve been offering to primary students for almost 40 years. For our families and those we speak with about St Peter’s, this just makes sense.

S T P E T E R ’ S ( I T ’ S A L L I N T H E N A M E )S T P E T E R ’ S ( I T ’ S A L L I N T H E N A M E )

St Peter’s will no longer be purely a Preparatory School. The name of the School will change to become St Peter’s Anglican Grammar in 2022.

What will not change is our commitment to being a Christian School, first and foremost. Our focus on students and their needs will also never change.

B U T W H E R E ?B U T W H E R E ? St Peter’s secondary school will be located on the current site in the centre of Campbelltown. Initially the secondary school will utilise purpose built modular STEAM, Science and Creative Arts facilities due for installation ready for classes in 2022. A process of innovative architectural design is being undertaken to construct a multi story purpose-built secondary learning centre with flexible learning spaces and a roof top playground.

As the School grows and students mature, St Peter’s is seeking to enter into relationships to access state of the art resources and facilities to support our students in their learning. This may include facilities in and around the Centre of Campbelltown.

We believe that this strong connection to our community will continue to set us apart as the leading provider of quality Christian, future focused education in South West Sydney.

“We’d love to be part of a foundation that’s willing to take a risk and see if there is a different way in delivering high school education.”

The MYP framework works alongside the NSW curriculum and the Diploma is an alternative to the HSC. Students and parents will undergo training in understanding the options and St Peter’s will become the first dual credential school in the South-West, offering both the HSC (Higher School Certificate) and the IB Diploma.

Students will learn in a balance of disciplinary, interdisciplinary, collaborative and independent opportunities. Collaboration time will occur regularly as a timetabled session for students to work with one another and staff as required on skill development, specific projects, assessment, understanding or clarification.

L E A R N I N G E N H A N C E M E N TL E A R N I N G E N H A N C E M E N T St Peter’s has a strong offering in Learning Enhancement. Be it support for students who need assistance in a particular area, need extension and challenge in one or more areas, or support in the English Language (EAL/D) or Counselling, St Peter’s will put the needs of our students first. This area will continue to evolve and grow as the school grows.

Welcome to the thriving community of St Peter’s Anglican Grammar. As we embark on the development of a secondary school, we are presented with an exciting and unique opportunity to create a school that enables students and families to flourish. Focused on demonstrating ‘Life through Christ’ and operating as an unashamedly Christian school, we are dedicated to creating future focussed learning opportunities for students grounded in a Christian worldview. The highly capable Christian staff of St Peter’s bring a wealth of experience, care and passion in order to develop well supported and rigorous learning for all students regardless of ability.

The global community can be sure that solving the complex problems of the future will need knowledge and skills yet to be identified. As an International Baccalaureate World School we deliver the New South Wales curriculum through the conceptual framework of the Middle Years Programme. By doing this we are developing student learning and thinking that is not bound by time, culture or geography; enabling students to apply their knowledge and skills in new and unfamiliar contexts of the future.

As a Middle School we are not only focussed on developing an academically rigorous learning culture, but also concerned with nurturing well rounded global citizens who know themselves and can have a positive impact on the communities in which they live and serve. A full offering of co-curricular opportunities in Music, Art, Dance, Language, Sport, Outdoor Education and Service Learning enables students to bond together as a community and discover learning that is personally significant as they develop into young men and women.

Thank you for considering a St Peter’s education for your child. I look forward to welcoming you into our community in the future.
