1) Have students listen to me play through the piece. I will ask them if they know what song I am playing2) I will have the students take a look at their music. We will then read and play measures 1 through 8. (I will not play with them but I will watch them). I will then check for things to fix3) Then the students will play measures 8-16. ( I will not play with them but I will watch them) I will then check for things to fix.4) We will then go back to the top of the piece and play all the way through the piece. ( I will only watch). I will then check for fixes.5) If time permits I will have them play is again but I will play along with them

There were many differences and similarities between our methods books and the ones that we choose our song out of. The first big difference was that the books in the library had more familiar tunes and also included tunes from around the world. Our methods books uses tunes that help students develop different techniques for strings. The library methods books also had many hands on activities to teach the part of the instruments and other basic things about the instruments.
