Praxair dewars make handling liquidhelium easier because they haveseveral features developed andpatented specifically for this specialpurpose.
■ Multi-layer insulation to reduceevaporation losses.
■ Cooled shields to simplify youroperation thereby reducing costsand hazards. Escaping helium vaporis used to cool the system, avoidingthe need for cooling with nitrogenand the subsequent cost andhazardous vapors in an enclosedarea.
■ Light weight for easier liftingand moving.
■ Rugged, all-welded constructionfor increased performance life ofthe multi-layer insulation andshield system.
■ Large-diameter neck tubes to allowfor better structural integrity and forlarger-sized liquid helium withdrawalapparatus.
