Topaz Marine Azerbaijan

Topaz Marine Azerbaijan owns and operates a fleet of 24 vessels, comprised primarily of Anchor Handling Tugs Supply Vessels (AHTSV), DP2 Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) and Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRV).

The maturity of the existing Azeri fields makes Topaz almost exclusively involved in the production phase of the oil production cycle, as opposed to exploration and development. This brings with it stable, long-term contracts generating cash-flows that allow great earnings visibility several years into the future.

Topaz's superior performance in quality, health, safety, security and environment (QHSSE) enables us to successfully serve the global oil majors in the Caspian, such as BP, Total and AIOC.

Topaz Marine Kazakhstan

Topaz Marine Kazakhstan operates 24 vessels and barges, providing the services of its ice-breakers, tugs, PSV’s, barges and crew boats to support offshore projects in various fields, including Kashagan, mainly for NCPOP BV, Agip KCO and Saipem Asia.

The unforgiving climate and shallow waters of the northern Caspian dictate the type of vessels that make up the Topaz Marine Kazakhstan fleet. During winter, ice-breakers and ice-strengthened vessels must be used and the crew must be prepared to operate in temperatures 20 to 30ºC below freezing. Operating in such harsh conditions demands a QHSSE focus that is second to none, and Topaz has an exemplary safety performance track record to show for its continued efforts in this area.

Topaz Marine Astrakhan

Topaz Marine Astrakhan operates 13 barges and crew boats to service the exciting oil and gas developments in the Russian Filanovsky project, mainly for long-term client Saipem. The vessels provide anchor-handling and tug services as well as transport of supplies and personnel.

Topaz's entry into the developing Russian market is a natural progression for the company and enables it to solidify its operations in four corners of the Caspian Sea.

Topaz Marine MENA operates approximately 22 vessels throughout its vast geographical coverage area of UAE, Qatar, KSA, and West Africa. The young and diverse fleet features DP2 Multi-Purpose Support Vessels (MPSV), DP1 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSV), DP1 Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), Workboats, and Wave Piercer Catamarans. All new tonnage is fitted with class compliant dual ECDIS and satellite television.

Topaz acquired Doha Marine Services (DMS), a Qatar-based offshore vessel company in May 2008. The acquisition of DMS helped establish a strong foothold in the growing Qatar market and DMS now forms an integral part of the Topaz Marine MENA fleet.

Topaz Marine MENA has secured a term contract for six of its K-Class vessels with Saudi Aramco in 2011 and has set up a local office in Saudi Arabia. Our local presence in UAE, Qatar and Saudi reflects Topaz's strategy of being closer to its customers.

Topaz is committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically and continues to monitor and upgrade the standards of Health, Safety and Environment. Topaz Marine MENA continues to demonstrate improved HSE performance. In recent years, both the Topaz Salalah and the Topaz Shaheen received an award from Maersk Oil for Outstanding Safety Performance without any lost workday cases.

The Topaz Marine MENA fleet includes AHTS, PSV, MSV and crew boats.

Our specialist Global fleet is managed from our headquarters in Dubai and covers the geographical area of the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, and West Africa.

The young and diverse fleet features Dynamic Positioning Class 2 (DP2) Multi-Purpose Supply Vessels (MPSV), DP2 Cable Laying Vessel, DP1 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSV) and Fast Crew Transfer Vessels.

All tonnage is fitted with the latest technology which includes class compliant dual ECDIS and satellite television.

The Topaz Installer, which is one of only five cable laying vessels in the world with a horizontal carousel, is on a five-year contract supporting the North Sea wind farm industry. The UT745 Topaz Captain has been operating in the Gulf of Mexico for several years now.

Our Fleet

Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSV)

AHTSVs are designed for anchor handling and towing offshore platforms, barges and production modules and / or other vessels. They also perform ordinary supply services and may have additional equipment for fire fighting, oil recovery and rescue duties.

Platform Supply Vessels (PSV)

PSVs are designed for transporting supplies and equipment to and from offshore installations. They can also be used to supply stores, drilling equipment, drilling bulks, fluids and pipes.

Multi-Purpose Support Vessels (MPSV)

Multi-functional vessels are designed to accommodate a range of offshore assets and equipment such as supply stores and drilling products and to support inspection, maintenance, repair, diving and construction activities.

Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRV)

ERRVs are designed to provide safety support to offshore installations. Typical features of an ERRV include daughter craft and fast rescue craft as well as fire-fighting and oil recovery capabilities. ERRVs may also carry out duties such as inter-field cargo operations, towage assistance and pollution control.

Specialized Barges

Topaz's range of specialized barges includes flat-tops with cargo transport capability, cutting and bulk barges designed to carry drilling fluids and barges specialized for regional conditions such as shallow draft and ice-strengthened barges for operations in the Kashagan field in Kazakhstan.

Crew Boats

Crew boats are designed for transferring personnel and limited cargo from shore to offshore installations and between offshore installations. Topaz owns and operates the first few crew boats in the Middle East with wave piercer hulls, one of the latest innovations in vessel design, which facilitates a faster and smoother ride.

Others

In addition to the above, the Topaz fleet includes several specialized vessels such as cable-layers, flotels, ice-breakers and survey vessels.
