Connect the Maintenance Tool to the Seat Actuation Prior to launch SeatNetTM Advanced Software, connect the HAR066

(Maintenance Harness) to the RS232 port of the laptop or to the USB port (USB converter needed) and then to the Maintenance port of the Seat:

- Located on the seatpan under the cover for easy access (deported access)- Located at the back of the ECBB668, close to the circuit breaker

Launch SeatNetTM Advanced Software: double click on .exe Enter the operator name




Fill in the seat informations

Events Codes Window pops up




Event codes window provides the last event codes recorded by the system, explanation and troubleshooting tips if any.It is the first step for your troubleshooting. All Event codes (information, transient, permanent) are recorded by the system up to maximum 72 hoursAuto-Test: carry out a Bed – TTL – Bed cycle and record event codes that show up during the cycle




Alarm message when ECBx is not found:Make sure the ECBB is correctly plugged (power supply)Ensure that the Circuit Breaker is well engaged (Seatpan & ECBB)Re-start SeatNetTM Advanced SoftwareCheck Seat Maintenance harness or plug directly to the maintenance port of the ECBBCheck laptop Maintenance harness HAR066

Legrest Actuator inop: harness disconnection

Actuator disconnection can be troubleshooted with the Event Codes window.

Once reconnected, the EC type is « Ending »

Misadjusted manual override cable:

Check for Event code __30 or __32:

Check the adjustment of the cable on the actuator declutching system

Manual override cable misadjusted (too tight)




Motor inoperative / motor-brake seized:

Check for Event code __32: Actuator is not moving




Legrest Actuator inop: harness disconnection

Check with the Network window:It provides troubleshooting tips when double clicking on the LRU button

PCU inoperative / PCU buttons inoperative:

Click on “test mode” and to start the test. Then test all PCU buttons. Each button should be highlighted like below. If not highlighted, it means that the button is not functioning correctly.




Position of all actuators are computed by the ECBB

Actuators position computation is used for seat kinematic adjustment, and safety areas management

Actuator potentiometer: how to detect an intermittent potentiometer
