Discolouration of Coated Joinery
Discolouration of coated joinery is one of themost common site complaints on newlyinstalled factory finished joinery.
Milky discolouration in translucent systemscan happen in cold conditions when thejoinery has been wrapped or is stored indamp conditions. This discolouration willdisappear within a few days of the joinerybeing installed as the residual moisturedissipates in to the atmosphere and thecoating achieves full cure.
For opaque systems the issue will show itselfas micro blistering but in severe cases theblisters can be much larger. Again, these willdisappear as the moisture dissipates in tothe atmosphere.
