I am the captain of a North Sea boat. The sea can be

very rough.

We catch herring in huge nets. There are herring all

around the UK.

The herring are taken to a factory where they are

cleaned and put into packets. They are then taken to shops

so people can buy them.

I love eating the herring I catch. Sometimes I have it

barbecued. My favourite way to eat it is with rice.

I spend two weeks at a time on the oil rig. I miss my family when I am on

the rig.

On the oil rig all I can see is the sea. I make sure all

the equipment is clean and safe.

The oil gets taken from under the sea and then

loaded onto boats.

The oil is used to make petrol for cars. It is also

used to make things from plastic like toys.

I start with divers in a swimming pool, or shallow

water to help them feel safe.

Then we jump off boats and swim underwater. We
