Choose “Web of Science”

Enter your search terms using “connectors” between them:OR – one term or the other e.g. women OR femaleAND – both terms e.g. women AND violenceSAME – both terms in the same sentence e.g. Women SAME violence“ “ – phrase e.g. “human rights”, “South Africa”, “United Nations”

To search by subject choose ‘Topic’

Make sure that the SSCI is ticked

You can refine your results using the box on the left hand side. You can refine by broad subject or by document type. There are also options to refine your search such as by title of specific journals or sources (source titles)

You can print, email or save results to reference management software. There is also the option to save to a marked list that you can view at the end. To do this you need to tick the box next to the items and click on the relevant button above.

Find it@ Oxford links through to where the article may be available in Oxford including online sources

Time cited states how many times this article has been cited in other articles

Click on Find it @ Oxford. This brings up a list of databases or ejournals that have the article. For example here the article is available in 4 places. Click on Go next to your preferred source. Please note it may not take you directly to the article.
