NEWSLETTER – February 2017 A few housekeeping notes… Can I please ask that NO food is taken to poolside or the changing rooms. I understand the desire to reward or keep your child quiet but please wait until you are in the dry zone. Please resist moving the chairs around, I need to keep the side of the pool as free as possible. Can we (the teachers) ask that if you sit at poolside then the volume levels are kept down, we find the children become distracted, they cant hear us and we cant concentrate on them. Please do not wear shoes in the changing room and poolside, covers are provided should you not want to go bare foot. Please register yourselves on entry and please make sure that your contact details are up to date in the folder kept on poolside. Also, we do require a registration form from all students, these can be found in the draw in reception. Welcome It’s a bit late for Happy New Year, alas...hope you are all recovered. As you know we have undergone some very needed repair work and those of you following us on Facebook will have seen some of the shots. There were four leaks, the major one was a pipe crushed by a bolder seven feet under ground. We still have a small leak but this is being repaired by sealer every term. It was a long slog; Progressive excavated and carried out the majority of the work, Long Acres constructed and replaced cover house with decking and I scraped and sealed the floors and with Progressive cleaned for England. A heads up…This course ends April 11th, we hope the next one will start April 24th through to the 14th July taking out bank holidays and May half term week.I have received criticism for closing over certain days and weeks. The swim school covers three school authorities and I’m sure you will appreciate that schools often have differing school holiday dates. Please bear in mind that I also have to consider the school holiday dates of my own children which are often different again.

If your child is going to school in September and you require an after school class I would strongly recommend that you (if they are at a suitable standard - check with your instructor) move them in April to after school times. These lessons are highly sort after and I can not promise you all a place.

Continued…Likewise, those of you considering leaving please let me know asap. Some of you will be advised soon that your child needs to move. We do this not because we are fed up of you, but your child will need to develop stamina and distance. Again I would urge you to consider the Solihull pool were we operate on a Tuesday from 6pm. These lessons too are very popular, Karen and Ian are the main coaches there.

In September we will start back on the 4th, finish on the 29th and re open after half term at the end of October. Sorry for the long gap but I am off touring on my own. One of those must do’s!

A reminder also that on Monday 27th February NO SWIMMING - WE START BACK TUESDAY 28th.

Can I also ask that ALL payments are paid promptly - thank you.
