Chicago River The Chicago River is 251 km long and used to flow through downtown Chicago to Lake Michigan. The flow was engineered to go south in the nineteenth century. Local custom is to dye the river green on St. Patrick’s Day. Publication A collection of the keynotes, papers and documented software demonstrations is published as a special issue of the “International Regional Science Review”.
