From the Turtles - Light Blue (A), cut:• (1) 6½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (6) 6 ½” squares.

From the Scroll - Blue (B), cut:• (3) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (24) 3 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (48) 3 ⅞” triangles.

From the Scroll - Aqua (C), cut:• (2) 6 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (8) 6 ⅞” squares. Cut (6) of the squares across (1) diagonal to make (12) 6 ⅞” triangles.• (2) 4 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 4 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (48) 4 ¼” triangles.• (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (24) 2” squares.

From the Eclipse - White (D), cut:• (4) 6 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (20) 6 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (40) 6 ⅞” triangles.• (2) 4 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 4 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (48) 4 ¼” triangles.• (2) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 3 ⅞” squares.• (4) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 60 ½” strips.• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 50 ½” strips.

From the Seahorse - Blue (E), cut:• (2) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 3 ⅞” squares.

From the Tonal Fish and Anchors - Blue (F), cut:• (2) 4 ¾” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 4 ¾” squares.• (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Shells - Light Blue (G), cut:• (2) 4 ¾” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 4 ¾” squares.

From the Tonal Fish and Anchors - Light Blue (H), cut:• (2) 7 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (7) 7 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (28) 7 ¼” triangles.

From the Stars - Blue (I), cut:• (2) 7 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (7) 7 ¼” squares and (2) 6 ⅞” squares. Cut the 7 ¼” squares across both diagonals to make (28) 7 ¼” triangles.

From the Tonal Seaweed - Light Blue (J), cut:• (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 62½” strips.• (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 54½” strips.

From the Mixed Sealife - Blue (K), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x 66 ½” length of fabric (LOF) strips.• (2) 5 ½” x 64 ½” WOF strips from the remaining fabric, piece as needed.

From the Tonal Fish and Anchors - Light Blue (Backing), cut:• (2) 72” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 72” x 84” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Place (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric D square on top of (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric E square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the (2) squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make (2) half-square triangles. Trim the blocks to measure 3 ½” square to make (2) Unit 1 squares (Fig. 3). Repeat to make (24) Unit 1 squares total.

2. Place (1) 2” Fabric C square on the bottom right corner of (1) Unit 1 block, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the small square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 4). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam to make (1) Unit 2 square (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (24) Unit 2 squares total.

3. Sew (1) Fabric D and (1) Fabric C triangle together. Sew (1) Fabric B triangle to the sewn strip along the long side to make (1) Unit 3 square (Fig. 6). Trim unit to measure 3 ½” square. Repeat to make (24) Unit 3 squares total.

4. Sew (1) Fabric C and (1) Fabric D triangle together. Sew (1) Fabric B triangle to the sewn strip along the long side to make (1) Unit 4 square (Fig. 7). Trim unit to measure 3 ½” square. Repeat to make (24) Unit 4 squares total.

5. Sew (1) Unit 3 square to the left side of (1) Unit 4 square with the Fabric C sides touching to make (1) Unit 5 strip (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (24) Unit 5 strips total.

6. Sew (1) Unit 5 strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” Fabric A square. Sew (1) Unit 2 square to each end of (1) Unit 5 strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A square to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 9). Pay attention to the orientation of the Unit 2 squares. Repeat to make (6) Block One squares total.

7. Sew (1) 4 ¾” Fabric G square to the left side of (1) 4 ¾” Fabric F square to make the top row. Sew (1) 4 ¾” Fabric F square to the left side of (1) 4 ¾” Fabric G square to make the bottom row. Sew the (2) rows together to make (1) Unit 6 square (Fig. 10). Repeat to make (6) Unit 6 squares total.

8. Sew (1) Fabric D 6 ⅞” triangle to each side of the Unit 6 square to make (1) Block Two square (Fig. 11). Trim block to measure 12 ½” square. Repeat to make (6) Block Two squares total.

9. Repeat Step 1 using (2) 6 ⅞” Fabric I squares and (2) 6 ⅞” Fabric C squares to make (4) 6 ½” Unit 7 squares (Fig. 12).

10. Sew (1) Fabric I and (1) Fabric H triangle together. Sew (1) Fabric C triangle to the sewn strip along the long side to make (1) Unit 8 square (Fig. 13). Trim unit to measure 6 ½” square. Repeat to make (6) Unit 8 squares total.

11. Sew (1) Fabric H and (1) Fabric I triangle together. Sew (1) Fabric C triangle to the sewn strip along the long side to make (1) Unit 9 square (Fig. 14). Trim unit to measure 6 ½” square. Repeat to make (6) Unit 9 squares total.

12. Sew (1) Unit 8 square to the left side of (1) Unit 9 square with the Fabric H sides touching to make (1) Unit 10 strip (Fig. 15). Repeat to make (6) Unit 10 strips total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)18. Sew (1) Block One square to each side of (1) Block Two square to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.

19. Sew (1) Block Two square to each side of (1) Block One square to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four.

20. Sew the (4) Rows together, in numerical order, to make the Center Block.

21. Sew the Side Pieced Borders, Top and Bottom Pieced Borders onto the Center Block.

22. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 60 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 50 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

23. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 62 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 54 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

24. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 66 ½” Fabric K strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 64 ½” Fabric K strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

25. Layer and quilt as desired.

26. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

27. Bind as desired.

13. Sew (1) Fabric I and (1) Fabric H triangle together. Sew (1) Fabric D triangle to the sewn strip along the long side to make (1) Unit 11 square (Fig. 16). Trim unit to measure 6 ½” square. Repeat to make (8) Unit 11 squares total.

14. Sew (1) Fabric H and (1) Fabric I triangle together. Sew (1) Fabric D triangle to the sewn strip along the long side to make (1) Unit 12 square (Fig. 17). Trim unit to measure 6 ½” square. Repeat to make (8) Unit 12 squares total.

15. Sew (1) Unit 11 square to the left side of (1) Unit 12 square with the Fabric H sides touching to make (1) Unit 13 strip (Fig. 18). Repeat to make (8) Unit 13 strips total.

Pay attention to the orientation of the strips when making the borders in Steps 16-17.16. Sew (2) Unit 10 strips and (2) Unit 13 strips together end to end and alternating them to make (1) Side Pieced Border (Fig. 19). Repeat to make a second Side Pieced Border.

17. Sew (1) Unit 13 strip to each end of (1) Unit 10 strip. Sew (1) Unit 7 square to each end of the new strip to make the Top Pieced Border. Repeat to make the Bottom Pieced Border.
