Scuba imperfection and perfection
I found what looks like debris on the date wheel. It seems to be isolated to the "16". Yah, out of curiosity
I decided to photograph each date and see if there was any other debris.
Can you spot the other imperfection? Shout out to Nismo who helped me spot it.
I'll be calling CS to see what they can do for me. I see that there are LQ of the silvertone/black. I hope
that I can get an exchange. Most importantly I hope the Shop doesn't recycle this for sale.
So that all the geeks can know the CONS# is 082305-65788 Model 0605. For good measure I also added
a note inside the gift box.
My black one arrived cosmetically perfect. I still gotta check the chrono but so far so good.

Congrats and wear them well. You picked the 2 best versions. Did not like the pepsi version because I
thought the black figure 8clashed with the blue bezel !

That sucks about the imperfections. Is the other one the crooked "I" in Invicta?

It could be the angle that the pic was taken, but it seems like the inner ring on the hour sub dial has a
chip in it. Congrats anyway.

You're right Melton. The 6 o'clock sub-dial has a small chip on the 3 side. Bummer huh?

Congats on your Blk/Blk but you for sure need to have the silvertone dial execution replaced,i see the
debris on the date wheel at the 16th and there is either a chip on the lower subdial ring or the enamel
has bled over into the sub dial.

I think I'll put the magnifying glass to mine and see what I can find.

Hey Bro... I know who this was a serious buzz-kill. But, I trust the right solution will present itself. And I
know you'll make the right call.
Sorry the silver arrived in this condition. I trust the Black version has now passed inspection? Hope so.
To my eye, the imperfection on the "16"... still appears to have a shadow... which leads me top believe
that it is "debris" of some sort. (not a mark or smudge).
So it will eventually dislodge & that could lead to additional issues moving forward. (i.e., floating around
on the dial or getting into the movt.)
Best of luck moving forward.

Here's what I've found on my silver dial using a 10X lighted loupe. First, the dial is not woven, and doesn't
appear to be steel either. The Shops description even states "woven textured dial". The dial looks to be a
"woven textured" plastic dial. I can see this looking into the edge of the date window. Plus all the
markings "Invicta Reserve, etc.." are not applied but molded into the dial and tipped with black enamel
(suggesting an all injected molded plastic dial). I invite anyone to check it out with a loupe. I'm actually
bummed I looked through the loupe because I lost some of my zeal for this watch. Not the quaility I was
expecting, damn that loupe!

^^ Not sure what this has to do with the OP's original post.
Let me see if I have this correct.... you've determined the dial is plastic... by "looking"??
And, by "looking" you've also concluded it is not woven... & in fact is injected molded??
If you feel you've discovered plastic.... it's possible what you are seeing is that the woven steel dial rests
on top of an acrylic disc above the movt.
