Heart Full of soul

Script for film intro

Film Four IDent appears on screen. Crackling from a radio and a 60s inspired song can be heard. The establishing shots of all the locations that the main character travels are shown briefly Screen fades into seeing a pair feet walking along, and the camera pans up to show a young shots of all the location man called Curtis walking along looking like a Teddy boy. He slicks his hair and looks in a passing window to check how he looks; as he does all this the crackling of a radio can be heard:

“This is ACC news; Russia has beat USA to the space race, Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev congratulates Major Gargain on his achievement of orbiting the Earth. President Kennedy congratulates Soviets on their achievement”.

The young man has changed his look and looks like a mod his wearing a coat which he covers himself more with and gets a cigarette out of his pockets and strikes a match. The screen splits to show Curtis walking from ash in mid shot and another straight ahead both mid shot but the one that is straight ahead turns into a close up as he walks closer to the camera. The radios frequency DB lowers has an urgent sounding jingle and the announcer says:

”At 12:30 on the 22nd November 1963 US President was fatally shot in Dealy Palace, Dallas, Texas. The details of this fatality are still being kept confidential until further investigation has been made”.

The spilt screen stops and we have a close up of feet again, Curtis walks round a corner with which he has a more laid back look of which consists of jeans and Beatles t-shirt and during that the camera pans out on a POV shot of Curtis. The angle of the shot has changed to in front of Curtis and can be seen through a fence the camera moves slowly and a tree hides Curtis as the camera moves past the

tree and has changed his style to a hippy look. During this two Radio announcements are playing which are fading out and crackling due to the quality of the radio:

“Now to the situation in Vietnam; U.S. aid to South Vietnam is increased by $150 million to bring the total for the year to $700 million. No developments have been made with the North, as protests in America hit all time high”.

“20th July 1969 man takes first steps on the Moon. American Neil Armstrong has become the first man to walk on the Moon”.

He is at the end of the street and turns to go into the last building on it and walks up a flight of stairs to a row of flats. He walks up to a front door and the shots cuts to him inside the house looking glum. It then cuts to Curtis walking into his room, picking up a guitar and begins to play. As he stops playing a person off shot can be heard asking “Did you get the job?” Curtis looks down in dismay.
