Asbestos and other forms of hazardous waste are a huge problem in Australia. The developers of Hazibag could see that these materials were not being correctly contained and transported in a safe manner increasing the possibility of harmful exposure to the public, trade personal on worksites, transport operators and landfill employees. It was from this situation that the Hazibag was developed to offer an alternative, safer practice to the current methods available.

Hazibag is a flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC) tested under UN recommendations for the transport and containment of “Packing Groups II & III“ solid dangerous goods.

Hazibag is carrying the N.A.T.A ( Australian Testing Authority) stamp of approval under UN recommendations, CE conformity marking and is built by an ISO 9001 accredited manufacturer. The Hazibag range holds public and liability insurance in Australia and world wide.

IDEAL FOR SOLID HAZARDOUS WASTES

Made of Grade 5 Propylene with double stitched, welded seams and lockable zippered lid. Hazibag has an internal sealable bladder made of a clear 200 micron liner so contents can be inspected without opening.

Bright orange and highly visible, once packed and sealed, Hazibag eliminates the potential for accidental exposure onsite, during loading, transportation or at landfills while disposing.

HAZIBAG PRODUCT RANGE

200 LITREThis conveniently sized bag is the most recent addition to the Hazibag range. Designed for Packing Groups II and III, the 200 litre Hazibag provides flexibility and is great for smaller jobs, particularly DIY and emergency spill response.Size: 600mm x 400mm x 850mm Weight Capacity: 250kgs

1 CUBIC METREThis standard bag holds the equivalent of an IBC or five drums. Designed for Packing Groups II and III, the one cubic metre Hazibag is ideal for every day jobs, councils and emergency spill response. Size: 1m x 1m x 1m Weight Capacity: 800kgs

1.5 CUBIC METRESThis lengthy bag is designed for commercial jobs and is ideal for full sheets of asbestos. Packing Groups II and III.Size: 2.5m x 1.5m x 0.4m Weight Capacity: 550kgs

3 CUBIC METRESThe largest Hazibag in the range. This sizable bag is designed for your largest jobs. Safety factor test rating of 6 to 1. Size: 2.5m x 1.5m x 0.8m Weight Capacity: 1000kgs

DECONTAMINATION BAGThe decontamination bag has a single use removable water soluble liner and is ideal for emergency services equipment. Size: 0.7m x 0.6m x 0.25m Weight Capacity: 30kgs

Depending on the volume, Hazibags are delivered by courier or transport company. The bags can be stored on site ready immediately as required. Designed for single use, Hazibags are disposed of with the hazardous materials they contain. With no need for secondary handling or decontamination, Hazibags greatly reduce the chance of accidental or secondary exposure.

Hazibags can be placed on pallets or directly on the ground and lifted via the pallet or handles using forklift equipment. They can also be crane lifted and are certified for use on roofs and other restricted areas. Each Hazibag comes with clear instructions for use.

• The new Hazibag QR Code and Tracking App is currently in production and will allow comprehensive tracking of each bag.

• The first QR Code will be on the outer packaging. This code will provide links to information on handling procedures, transport information, landfill sites and distributor details.

• The second QR code on the inside label of the Hazibag allows for streamlined tracking of each bag from point of origin to disposal. This innovative application is an informative and time effective method of waste management at your fingertips.

• Scan, track, report, provide feedback, log times and take images, all in real time conveniently available on your mobile phone.
