One reason for boring video The reason a lot of people are bored in presentations, but also in video, is that slideslike this exist. You might think to yourself that there is a lot of information that needs tobe conveyed and its important information so why not add it to a slide so nothing getsmissed. Well, if you have a slide that looks like this youre going to have a bad time. Noseriously. No one wants to hear me read this slide and also look at it on the screen. Im putting another bullet point to give you the second idea for boring video, which isinformation that isnt concise. Think about it for a second, if I can show and tell youwhat you need, do you really need this text. This is probably not, nor should it be, alegal document that binds me to some strict obligations. You dont want your video tobe like the pharmaceutical ads where they get to the potential side effects and theyhave sped up the reading. Although if you want that effect, its pretty easy to do. Isnt this great. We should hang out more often. Im really hoping you like mypresentation. Dont forget to fill out your evaluation forms at the end of the session. Imnot above petty bribery for good marks. Oh, and while were at it, you might as wellfollow me on twitter: @piercemr Id love to have more dialogue and discuss in shortphrases ideas for better visuals and graphics. If youve gotten this far, wow. You shouldteach a speed reading course. Or you skipped all the middle stuff. 14. Before You Record 15. RECORDING & EDITING 16. What are you showing? 17. Better? 18.
