homogeneous charge will cause

much less damage to themuch less damage to the

electrodes and refractories than a

The density of the chargeThe density of the charge

reduces the opening time of the

furnace and increases thefurnace and increases the

number of melts per day with

fewer furnace charges.

The shear system isa y

integrated with one hold

down clamp in order top

better prepare the material

before the cutting operation.

Using the hold down clamp

with light material there’s a

possibility to press too much

material, without allow the

correct cutting operation. At

this purpose the hold down

clamp can be set in “stand

by” modality.

conditioning system, if requested.

The proposed machine will be designed to work with a productivity between 25

to 50 tons per hour (cutting capacity).

The proper drawing will show

the machine foundation raised

about 915 mm above ground

level. The reason of this design

is for a better operator

maintenance of the machine.

Thanks to the space available

ground level, the operator can

SHEAR HEAD

This solid construction contains the hold down clamp and the guillotine.

Both moving parts are automatically lubricated.

The most important components of any shear are the hold down clamp and the guillotine.

Only this system will guarantee a long life time to these important components.

The Scrap Shredder is designed to shredsteel turnings, shavings, borings …etcinto 20‐50 mm chips. Shredder has arobust structure and machines to shredscraps between two strong rolls. Theserollers are operated by fourhydromotors To prevent the scrap tohydromotors. To prevent the scrap tomove through the motors, sheets aresettled on the motors.System is designed for working light andSystem is designed for working light andheavy demolition scrap. One of thebiggest advantage is quick process time.Th i l i di ilThe material is extraordinarily compactin size since it is completely ground.High quality cutting blades are locatedon the rollers for longer service time.

Heat energy contained in a gasevacuated from an EAF accountsfor 15 to 20 % of the total energyfor 15 to 20 % of the total energyused in EAF steel making processand that is 100 – 150 kwh/ton.

CVS scrap pre‐heater is a systemwhich utilizes this heat energy toheat scrap in a bucket beforeheat scrap in a bucket beforecharged into an EAF and thuscontributes towards energysaving.g

Preheating is burned by mixing with the gas from the EAF. This enables to eliminate an airpollution after dust collector.

By provision of preheating fan, existing fume treatment plant can employ the scrap pre‐heater without modification.

As the system is fully automatically operated, this system does not require additionalworker.EAF operation will not be interrupted even though the preheating system run into atrouble.

Recycling method of preheating system can be controlled separately from dust collectorsystem.

Proper adjustment of the preheating temperature prevents the scrap bucket from beingdeformed.
