“. . .start out by giving a standing ovation to Scott Ashley,
Limelight’s Set Designer. His ingenuity and inventiveness
continue to inspire awe and respect. . .”
-The St. Augustine Record
Biloxi Blues
“The set is fabulous – another triumph by Scott Ashley.”
- The St. Augustine Record
Frankenstein
“Scott Ashley's set for Neil Simon's "Rumors" at the Limelight
is so sensational that you know, even before the house lights dim, that you're in for an exceptional evening of theatre.”
-St. Augustine Record
“The set, the latest creation of Scott Ashley, the Limelight's resident designer and technical director, is absolutely
spectacular . . . Perfect!” “We should no longer be surprised by such excellence.
Ashley has designed and supervised the construction of every Limelight set since his triumphant debut last season with the
sumptuous Manhattan apartment for "Rumors."
-St. Augustine Record Down an Alley Filled with Cats
“One last comment: Scott Ashley's set design, as usual,
is Broadway quality.”
-The St. Augustine Record
Greetings
“It's the set -- it speaks volumes, another remarkable achievement by Scott Ashley, resident designer . . .”
-The St. Augustine Record
I’m Not Rappaport
“I got the distinct impression patrons would love to have had the chance to applaud the design—which was superlative. Designer Scott Ashley continues to raise the bar, setting new standards for rich detail that invite audience members into the world of the play. The opportunities it provides for simultaneous action, appropriately highlighted or muted, help enrich the play’s visual layering considerably. With that first note sounded, it’s hard not to be thoroughly enveloped and involved in the story in a very personal way.” -Entertaining U (EU) A Raisin in the Sun
“Scott Ashley’s set design is, as I predicted in my review
of Limelight’s Criminal Minds last month, a masterpiece . . .”
-Entertaining U (EU) Frankenstein
“Set Designer Scott Ashley’s plantation bedroom with a veranda across the front of the stage . . . is intoxicating. I mean you just want to look at it and look at it. I wanted to jump up
on stage into that big brass bed. The lighting for set is impressive as well.” -Entertaining U (EU) Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Trust Set Designer Scott Ashley to truly set the "ominous" stage to perfection. -The St. Augustine Record Deathtrap
