I. INTENT 1.1. This document is intended to provide guidance for the work associated with the Concourse Exterior Gate Signage Project. 1.2. The Project generally consists of the replacement of sixty-eight (68) channel letters/number and associated electrical components. 1.3. It is the intent of the Owner to receive signage comparable in characteristics to the existing signage. 1.4. The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and technicalities. 1.5. Award will be based on the best proposal in terms of price, schedule and completeness of the proposal as determined solely in the opinion of the District. Contractors shall submit a schedule of the proposed start time and date of expected completion. 1.6. There is no bid form associated with this project. Proposals shall be submitted on the Contractor’s standard proposal form as a lump sum amount. Also include the projected start and completion dates based on a February 1, 2018 Notice-To-Proceed.

II. PROJECT SCHEDULE 2.1. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on January 10th, 2018 at 10:00 AM local time at the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Facilities Department Administration Building at 1850 GSP Drive, Greer, SC 29651. A site visit will follow the meeting. 2.2. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope no later than 4:00pm on January 17th, 2018 at the following address: Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Facilities Attn: Chris Davis 1850 GSP Drive Greer, SC 29651 2.3. The proposal opening will be a private opening and Contractors will be notified of the outcome by the Airport District at a later date. Pending approval of submittals, NTP should be issued by

the end of the day January 17st, 2018. Materials shall be ordered as soon as possible after the NTP and work shall commence as soon as practical. 2.4. A Pre-Construction Meeting will be scheduled after the NTP - time and date TBD.

III. GENERAL 3.1. Contractor shall be responsible for verifying the dimensions and size of all channel letters to be replaced. Notify Owner of any unsatisfactory existing conditions that will adversely affect the installation of new signage. As soon as the NTP is issued, the contractor shall brief the owner on all existing obstacles that are in the way of the new installations. The Owner shall be responsible for removal or relocation of all obstacles. 3.2. Contractor shall summit drawings to include dimensions of new signage for Owners approval. 3.3. Letters/Numbers will be back lit exterior channel letters, acrylic faces with LED lighting (12 volt power supplies). 3.4. Contractor is responsible for connecting power supply to existing 120V power source. Location of power supply is to be determined based on contractor’s proposal. 3.5. All electrical work shall be performed by a licensed electrician per NFPA 70. 3.6. The project work will be done inside the Aircraft Operation Area (AOA) and/or Airport Secure Area/Security Identification Display Area (SIDA). Workers will be required to obtain a SIDA badge or be under escort (visual and verbal control) by another worker with a SIDA badge. Recommended ratio for escorted personnel to a single badged individual is 5:1. To obtain a GSP SIDA badge a person must successfully complete the GSP/TSA background check and airport security training. Badging costs:

• Initial badge Issue - $56 • Damaged Badge Renewal - $16 • Lost Badge Renewal - $50 (first), $100 (second), $150 (third) • Failure to Return Badge at Completion of Project - $50 up to $500.

3.7. Scheduling will be based on gate availability. All scheduling must be approved by Owner Representative. 3.8. Gate signage will be replaced in the order directed by the Owner. Each gate installation/location shall be completed and operational before the installation can be started of the next gate.

3.9. Contractor shall provide the following minimum insurance coverage: General Liability - $5,000,000 per occurrence Automobile Liability - $5,000,000 per occurrence Umbrella Liability - $5,000,000 Workers Compensation - $1,000,000 Provide Certificate of Insurance prior to NTP.

3.10. Contractor shall remove and dispose of all old gate signage, other components and materials off site and in compliance with Local, State and Federal Regulations. 3.11. Contractor shall provide site protection as required. 3.12. Contractor must comply with the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) Construction Safety & Health program.

IV. SPECIFICATIONS – Minimum Requirements 4.1. See Exhibit 1 for additional information: pictures of existing signage. 4.2. New signage shall be rated for outdoor use. 4.3. All metal surfaces on the exterior of the channel letters/number shall be powder coated Pantone 293C (color). Acrylic faces should also be Pantone 293C (color). 4.4. Lighting shall be back lit LED (12V power supply). 4.5. Contractor must have a minimum five years of documented experience installing Commercial/industrial type signage. 4.6. Provide a copy of spare parts list for the different products included in the project. 4.7. Minimum Warranty: – LED lighting to include power supply five (5) years. Other materials and workmanship – one (1) year.
