PARIS, FRANCE
France is a European State, a republic and is one of the world’s top six economies. The country’s full name is the French Republic. This metropolitan France borders six Andorra, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Monaco, Switzerland and Spain. The overseas territories of France border Brazil, Suriname and Netherlands Antilles. France crams a lot of incredible cities, mysterious châteaux, stunning beaches and majestic mountains into an area smaller than Texas. It would take a lifetime to discover all there is to do all over the country and each part of France has its own distinct vibe. It has masses of opportunities for cultural tourism, with some of the world’s finest museums and monuments; it is one of the world’s great shopping cities, and also arguably the finest city in Europe, a place where you can easily spend days just walking around, savoring the atmosphere, enjoying the life. But don’t be caught out by France’s closing hours and public holidays.
Paris is the capital of France. According to recent estimates, the population of the city of Paris is 2,206,488, representing a small decline in population numbers from 2014.
