II.Subject Matter:Classification of Animals According to the Food they eat

A.Science Concept/Idea: Animals are classified according to the food they eat. Some animals share 'the same kind of food. This can be a basis of grouping them according to what they eat. Many animals hunt for food. These animals eat meat only. They belong to carnivorous group. Animals that eat plants belong to the herbivorous group. The third group is the omnivorous group. Animals that belong to this group eat both plants and meat.
