Generally, theBoeing 747 jumbo jet carries about 400passengers whereas the A380 is capable ofcarrying as many as 853 passengers in anall-economy class configuration. However,for its historic first flight, SingaporeAirlines (SIA), regarded as one of the bestin the world, preferred a configuration of471 passengers divided into three classesincluding 12 in Singapore Airlines suites,60 in business class and 399 in economyclass.The A380 is as tall as a seven-storybuilding with each wing big enough tohold 70 cars. It is also the most fuelefficient and quietest passenger jet everbuilt to this date.
