Holiday Program
The Holiday Program is based in
The Essington International School Darwin’s After School Care Service rooms, A6 &
A7, on our Nightcliff campus in Chapman Road, Nightcliff.
During the program some activities will occur off-site. Where an activity is offered
off-site, a separate letter with details and a permission form will be sent to you. For
more information about our Holiday Program

Our aim is to create a partnership with your family in providing a warm, caring and
enriching environment for all of our children.
This booklet is designed to assist your family in learning about our program and to
answer some, or all, of the questions you may have.
Our service has been assessed and recognised with an ‘Exceeding’ National
Quality Standards rating and is licensed with The Northern Territory Government,
through Quality Education and Care NT.
Please Note:
Our opening hours during the Holiday Program are from 7.30am-5.30pm.
Children can only be dropped at the Holiday Program with a prior booking
and payment.
Children can only be dropped off at or after 7.30am, and late fees will be
incurred after 5.30pm ($2/minute).
One Enrolment Form per child.
Daily Requirements:
SunSmart broad-brimmed hat
Top/clothing that covers shoulders
Enclosed shoes and socks
Water bottle
Morning tea, lunch & Afternoon tea unless stated otherwise on the program
This program is flexible and subject to change as circumstances
warrant.
48 hours notice is required for any cancellation or full fees apply.

September 30th
Electronics Day
Today the group are able to bring their own electronic devices to
use during certain windows throughout the day or make use of the
OSHC multiplayer game systems.

October 2nd
Treasure Hunt
Testing our map-reading skills we will head out in small groups
around school grounds and search for hidden gems which will earn
us some tasty and precious rewards!

Cooking Day
We will be making French-bread pizzas for lunch with a variety of
healthy toppings before attempting a slight science experiment to
make our own ice-cream! (No lunch required today)

Waterslide and BBQ Lunch
Darwin Castle Hire will supply a waterslide today and we will enjoy
a BBQ lunch outdoors for the end of dry season. (Please bring:
bathers, rash-shirt, towel and a spare change of clothes today!)

Fancy Dress Day
In our fancy dress we will enjoy
group play, party games and a
movie with some popcorn!
October 1st (Year 2 & Above)
EXCURSION: The Planet
Departing at 9.45am we will head
out for games of bowling at The
Planet in Nightcliff till lunch-time.

INCURSION: Zumba Workshop
Christina is visiting us today to give us an opportunity before and
after lunch to participate in a Zumba workshop and help us build
up a sweat!

LOCAL EXCURSION: Nightcliff Tennis Courts
The whole service will today walk across the road to the local tennis
courts and have multiple opportunities to practice our skills and
play some small tournaments. (Please wear Sun Smart clothing and
closed shoes today!)

Mid-Year Party
Today will be all out fun with piñatas, balloon volleyball and balloon
pop with traditional games such as bingo and hot potato. The
group will have multiple chances to win prizes and treats through-
out the day.

INCURSION: Hyper the Clown
Today we will have a visit from
Hyper the clown who will be teach-
ing us some skills in a Circus Work-
shop.
October 7th (Year 2 & Above)
Arts and Crafts Day
Today we will create our own mas-
terpieces, one of which will be a
take home painted canvas!
October 10th (Transition & Year 1)
Movie Day
Using our in house auditorium big
screen we will enjoy a movie and
popcorn after a morning of group
activities and sports.
October 10th (Year 2 & Above)
EXCURSION: BCC Cinemas: Angry
Birds 2 Rated (PG)
Departing 9.45am we will head out
for this viewing some snacks and
refreshments at the local cinema.
