SCHOOL TRIP TO LONDON
March 11th - 15th2013
This year we went on a school trip to London. It was great! The first day, we met our host family. They were nice. They didn't speak French so we had to speak English! The best part was Mme Tussaud's museum and Big Ben. Mme Tussaud's is a lot of fun because we can take pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo, Beyonce, P. Diddy etc... We went shopping in Oxford Street and Covent Garden. It was not too expensive. We loved being together! Written by ETTALEB Amal, NGUYEN Céline, HADDAD Assya and CEKICI Irem (who didn't go to London but helped with the writing in English!).

DAY 1.At 1 AM, we went to Calais to take the ferry. The sea wasn't calm. We met German students. Then we disembarked at Dover and we went to Canterbury to visit the cathedral. We also had some free time. We didn't really like the trip because it was very long, but we loved London!

DAY 2.On the second day, we visited London with a guide on the bus. We saw Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, the Gherkin... The London Eye was tall and big! In the afternoon, we visited the Tower of London. We saw instruments of torture, prison cells and the beautiful crown jewels. After that, we went on a cruise on the Thames. The day was very cold but we enjoyed it. In the evening, at 7 PM, we went back to our host family.

DAY 3.On the third day, we walked in Westminster. We saw horse guards and where the Prime Minister lives, at 10 Downing Street. And then we passed in front of Westminster Abbey, where Prince William got married to Kate Middleton. We also passed near St James's Park and we saw squirrels there. We went to Buckingham Palace to look at the changing of the guard. Then we went by bus to Hyde Park and we ate our picnic. In the afternoon, we visited Mme Tussaud's museum. There were several rooms with wax statues of celebrities. We saw a 4D movie with superheroes! There was an attraction called Scream with live actors dressed up as zombies. We were afraid. It was very frightening.

DAY 4.On the fourth day, we went to the British Museum and we saw the Rosetta Stone there. It is a famous stone because it helped decipher hieroglyphs. At about 12 o'clock, we ate in front of the museum and in the afternoon we went to Oxford Street. We bought several items and souvenirs. We also went shopping in Covent Garden.
