Grading Summary: Passing grades› Must demonstrate achievement of all LOs

› Score = Average score on three assignments + Bonus points (defined shortly)

› Grading scheme:– Grade A: Score ≥ 80 and Attendance ≥ 12; else– Grade B: Score ≥ 70 and Attendance ≥ 11; else– Grade C: Score ≥ 60 and Attendance ≥ 10; else– Grade D: Score ≥ 50 and Attendance ≥ 9

Attendance points– Before each lecture, an attendance sheet will be given, one

sheet per person. After the lecture starts, you will be given an attendance sheet marked “arrived late”.

– Write your name and Purdue ID. Return the sheet after the lecture• If you have to leave early, turn in your attendance sheet to any of the organizers

– You earn• 1 point for attending a lecture in its entirety• 0.5 point if you attend at least half of the lecture (because you arrive late or leave early)

– Do not return the attendance sheet for another student

Academic integrity policy› The ECE faculty expect every member of the Purdue community to practice

honorable and ethical behavior both inside and outside the classroom. Any actions that might unfairly improve a student's score on homework or attendance will be considered cheating and will not be tolerated. Examples of cheating include (but are not limited to):– Sharing results or other information on a homework.– Requesting a regrade of answers or work that has been altered.– Filing an attendance sheet for an absent student.

› At the instructor's discretion, cheating on an assignment or an attendance sheet will result in a reduced score, a zero score, or a failing grade for the course. All occurrences of academic dishonesty will be reported to the Assistant Dean of Students and copied to the ECE Associate Head for Education. If there is any question as to whether a given action might be construed as cheating, please see the instructor or the teaching assistant before you engage in any such action.
