    Q: How are the Honours students selected? A: Students approved to read Math Honours have

    to at least meet the following: Consistently scoring A+ (preferably) or A in Math

    core modules Good attitude and a passion towards Math Must take pre-requisite module: MA4401 PPV and

    perform well Must apply for Math Honours in the Specialisation

    Q: Must I read Math Honours if my Math results have been very good so far?

    A: You are encouraged to read Math

    Honours if you have demonstrated the aptitude, but it is not compulsory.

    However, do note that there is only one entry point to the Math Honours Programme. There is no second intake.

    Q: Can I upgrade from Major to Honours at a later stage, e.g., in Yr 5 or 6?

    A: No. There is only one entry point. The

    Math Honours Programme has 5 semesters worth of modules. It is not possible to join midway. You can choose Math electives if you wish to broaden your knowledge beyond the core modules.

    Q: Can I choose to read Math Honours if I did not take the PPV module in Yr 4?

    A: Your application will not be successful as

    you have not met one of the criteria.
