Workshop Dates
Needless to emphasise that child educaon is least effecve without connual home-school partnership.Although the parents can meet & discuss with teachers any me through out the year with prior appointment aer school hours, yet the parent-teacher meengs (PTM'S) provided the right kind of forum for collaborave thinking on the child's academic progress and social development. Parents should takeadvantage of the parent-teacher meengs by ensuring that they aend these meengs without fail.
Parentswho are involved with their children both at home and in school are more likely to take much beer care oftheir child's holisc development.
The parent-teacher meengs provide the best opportunity for the parents to engage with the teachers which
have the greatest impact on their child's future. Teachers give them a clear picture on what their child islearning in the class and how her/his performance during assessments & assignments.
We are also having Parenng workshops which give parents the confidence they need to competently raisechildren. Most parenng lessons and courses are fueled and taught by experienced trainers. This is the perfect plaorm for Mountcrest parents to share their best pracces in upbringing the children with otherparents. Student speakers will also get an opportunity to present their ideas.
There are no classes during parenng workshops for students. Four parenng workshops are conducted in an academic year and all are compulsory for parents to aend and your aendance carries marks and will be entered in the progress card of your ward. Details of the parenng workshops can be found in subsequent pages.
It is mandatory for Mountcrest parents to attend the parent’s workshops

Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you about conducng assessment tests at Mountcrest Academy as per IGCSE standards. Separate classwise wokshops will be conducted on how to prepare children for these assessments.
Students sit regular assessment tests three mes a year in a range of subjects. These assessment tests are created by the subject teacher based on the curriculum set by Naonal Curriculum Frame work. Three Progression Tests will be conducted in all subjects. There will be a preparatory test in the month of February & Achievement test in the month of March.
Addionally, Year 6 (Grade 5) students sit the edexcel Primary Achievement Test in English, Mathemacs and Science & separate exam fee should be paid for this externally marked test. Achievement tests are marked in edexcel and each learner receives a statement of achievement and a diagnosc report. The edexcel Checkpoint feedback reports help our school to make strategic decisions, drawing on a pool of results informaon. The feedback gained from edexcel is also an invaluable source of informaon for learners and parents, providing them with a transferable indicaon of academic progress and achievement. Classes will be on regular mings during Progression Test & Preparatory test. Half day during Achievement Test (8:45 AM to 01:00 PM). Karate & Skang classes will be held during Progression tests, so students are required to bring their Karate uniform & Skates as per me table. During progression tests & preparatory test students should bring next day revision books only.
