Scholarship Impact Dear Saint Michael’s alumni, family, and friends, At Saint Michael’s College, we encourage our students “to Do Well and to Do Good.” A large part of that is service to others, and scholarships are a wonderful example of how donors serve our students by affording them the opportunity to receive a Saint Michael’s education and to go on to do well and do good in the world. In this update, I am pleased to provide information about our scholarship program and insight from campus leaders. Your support plays an important role in the viability of the College and our community. Thank you for your commitment to Saint Michael’s. Sincerely, D. E. Lorraine Sterritt Anna Tuttle ’20, Neuroscience Fire & Rescue Member, Adventure Sports Center Student Instructor, Summer Research Student “I value the state-of-the-art technology we have available here at Saint Michael’s College. Having scholarship funding allows me to take my research project in new directions as I begin seeing results, as well as when things aren’t quite working out as planned. From my research, I have gained valuable lab skills that will no doubt carry on to future work.” Jeffrey Trumbower Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs “Scholarships are critical in enabling students to participate in the richness of classroom and campus life. One student I know from a family of modest means was able to travel abroad to Mongolia, thanks to the Brian Lacey ʼ72 International Fellowship in Social Justice. The experience changed this student’s life, such that he is now working in the field of paleontology, an interest that was sparked in Mongolia.”

Scholarship ImpactDear Saint Michael’s alumni, family, and friends,

At Saint Michael’s College, we encourage our students “to Do Well and to Do Good.” A large part of that is service to others, and scholarships are a wonderful example of how donors serve our students by affording them the opportunity to receive a Saint Michael’s education and to go on to do well and do good in the world.

In this update, I am pleased to provide information about our scholarship program and insight from campus leaders. Your support plays an important role in the viability of the College and our community.

Thank you for your commitment to Saint Michael’s.

Sincerely,

D. E. Lorraine Sterritt

“Thanks to scholarship support I’m able to fulfill my goals at my top college. Without donors’ support and belief in the students of Saint Michaelʼs College, I would have never found Saint Michaelʼs Rescue or my love for emergency medicine. After I graduate, my plan is to go to nursing school to specialize in psychiatric nursing.”
